Town map

Hi,
I'm about to start my new town, and go through the resetting process until I find a map I like

Anyway, I was wondering about how many map options are available, and, in general, what seems to be a popular feature for maps?

I remember when NL first came out, there seemed to be a certain map that a lot of people thought was perfect, lol! I can't recall which one though.

I would love to hear your opinions!

These should be all of the different map options based on river layout. I'm pretty sure the Town Hall, Plaza, and Re-Tail can appear randomly on any map. I believe the most popular map was the one in B6 of the first chart because it's so symmetrical and people liked it when the Plaza was in the middle of the map.

I wanted interesting layouts with winding rivers so I chose a map like C1 for my first town and C3 with the staircase like river for my second town. It really depends on what you are looking for and think you can work with.

Thank you for this! It will definitely come in handy. Yes. Last town I had, my resident center was in the middle of my map which was nice, Do you happen to know if there are island designer programs similar to the island planners for acnh?

Not that I know of. I painstakingly plotted my whole town out on a grid in Paint. It was very tedious and took forever.
