Tortimers island

Personally I'd rather be taken to an area with a little more civilization. Maybe like the nearest port city and they could bring other characters like Gracie and Shrunk back that way. A throwback to City Folk. Imagine seeing Gulliver there just chilling before his next boat trip. I know people would rather have the island mini games return but I can't fathom more generic islands.

Somthing will probably i hope be big and unexpected..

Besides mini games, I honestly don't see a use for Kappn/Tortimer's Island anymore since 1) we live on an island, and 2) we can go on island tours. I miss Kappn too, but logically I don't think they would bring him and the island back, at least not in the same way as in NL for example. Perhaps Kappn could take us to a more civilized island maybe with some shops and an arcade for mini games because taking us to a deserted island doesn't seem important/needed anymore. Either way, I do hope they bring mini games back somehow.

I miss Kapp'n but I just don't see how they'd fit him into the game. At least, not in the same role. I hope island mini-games will return, though, but I think the desert islands play a different role in this game because there are so many other ways to get the things you need from them.

I mean they have to use that dock for SOMETHING right? Maybe next summer? or they could do it in winter and nook can sell it as a "Island Getaway Getaway" lol (and it'd be a nice summer update for the southern hem. folks)

I really hope Kapp'n and the island minigames return in some form or another. I think Tortimer's island would still make sense as we can go to other islands all the time, his could just be one where we're doing special activities. Maybe it could only be accessible by boat because Tortimer finds planes too noisy? And they could bring back the medals from minigames for special furniture and clothes again too, that would be nice.

After doing some research i am hoping thay the second week of october which is explorers day...

We will be gifted an ACTUAL BOAT from a kappa who will show up ON THIS DAY! Somthing along those lines!!! I really hope so

Afterall kappn was also introduced later on rather than the beginning in new leaf as well we had to upgrade our house first...

at this point i think it's unlikely that they will add something like tortimer's island. the nook miles islands have probably replaced it :/

I agree, this would be really cool!! I'd love a little port town, fitted with a leisure boat ride around the port island by Kapp'n (so we can hear him sing), maybe a dock with Gulliver's boat. Kapp'ns family running a cute souvenir/beachy shop. Tortimer being the cool island grandpa. Maybe have it be like in City Folk when you go to the plaza, and have there be random villagers walking around and talking about how they enjoy Tortimer island.

I think the idea of villagers camping out on deserted islands is cool, but them also choosing to vacation on an inhabited Tortimer Island also makes a lot of since. I know I'd choose that to vacation on rather than a deserted space!

I think it'd make most sense for Tortimer and the Island to return for a Northern Hemisphere Winter update. Let's face it there is a bias towards the Northern Hemisphere given we just had two SUMMER updates called just that. By the time winter rolls around people would like ways to hunt for rare and expensive bugs and fishes.

To make it fair on the Southern Hemisphere they could change the island's seasonal mechanics from eternal summer to it being the opposite season to whatever your own island is currently experiencing.
