I really like normals - two of my favourite villagers have that personality! Sadly, I don't remember having many... Poppy and Melba are easily my favourites, but the only other normals I remember having is Flurry (who is in my NL town) and Nan (who used to live in my NL town, but moved away).

I really want Melba too, but my town also has two normals! I had her in WW - she was the first villager I became best friends with and got a pic from.

And I really like the koalas, too! I've had Eugene, Ozzie and (like I said before) Melba, and liked all three of them!
