i dont know what to do because i cant decide on 10 villagers... theres too many and i dont want to give up any ethier

you can make a list and try to think of what exactly you like from each of them, to help you narrow it down. it also helps if you note which ones have amiibos, so you know it'll be easier to get those villagers again if you ever decide to let them move out.

I'm in the same position, and I see it more as a blessing than a curse.

I insist on going island-hopping myself to find new villagers, and having a larger pool makes this process a lot less time-consuming and much less stressful. It also lets you experience more different villagers before feeling obligated to settle on 10 or however many villagers you want to keep on your island as permanent/long-term residents.

I have tried this i have many lists in my notes since launch but the other night now as im narrowing it down i just decided im gonna have to get amiibo cards and cycle them atleast so i know that some can come back whenever

I have been having this issue too so I'm letting new villagers I don't have amiibo cards for move in and if I don't click with them I just use an amiibo card to move them out. I've bought a few more amiibo cards recently so I can switch it up a bit more often.

I was in the same position as you, what you should do is narrow them down by asking yourself questions such as how much are you willing to spend to get that villager, what you like about each villager and why, if you have their amiibo and other questions like that

Personally, I've been collecting dreamies and enjoying them... but, I'm also keeping in mind, they probably won't stay forever. Because I'll want to change things around at some point or another and find someone new! But I'm keeping them as long as I like, getting their pics, spending time with them, and getting as many pictures as I want to take... then, eventually, I'll probably say goodbye. And I'm cool with that 😊

I have the same problem ;-; I'm super indecisive, too. I've been having a hard time deciding weather to kick Fang out for Olivia of not. I wish Nintendo would give us more plots.

i feel this. there’s so many villagers that i love and would love to have but there just isn’t enough room for everybody - i wish the villager max had been increased to at least 12; that would make this somewhat easier ;;

I'm actually trying to figure out more, so far I have 4 I want forever, would be 5, but kicks isnt an option :(

I don't think Nintendo plans to expand the villager capacity. It's always that magic ten. It's your top ten. So choose carefully!

I say try them out on your island. Sometimes a villager seems like he might be a dreamie, but then when you actually interact, that’s not the case. Before new horizon came out, I was certain I would love Raddle and Lucky. I went as far as buying amiibos for both to be able to have them on my island. Turns out I don’t really love them. Lucky I let move out, and Raddle although he currently lives on my island, he isn’t a keeper either. It really has helped me narrow down my list.

*rosé voice* yeah i don't know to do.... i don't know what to do... this is basically me when someone asks to move out and i know it's time for a new dreamie/personality.

It's especially hard when you get to the last few villagers... I thought I had it figured out already but at the moment I'm contemplating between 4 villagers when there are only 2 spaces left.

I dont know if this helps, but if you have a theme and you like things to match, see which villagers fit in all together nicely. If there’s one that stands out too much or looks out of place, delete them from the options.

well....
i wouldn't say always
first game allowed 15 villagers
wild world 8
city folk & new leaf pushed up to 10
pocket camp 8, until they added a new cottage

there's very little chance they'd update with letting us have more but realistically speaking our islands are huge. the fact that it can hold 8 multiplayers. somehow we still manage to make our islands full though, thanks to the ability of putting furniture outside. but imagine having that many acres in new leaf. 10 villagers would be so little.
