too cute?

this might sound weird but don't you find some of the villagers in ACNL a bit too cute or too pretty that you can't stand them for it? you know, like having too much sugar in your tea that you can't drink it anymore...

I feel this way about about some villagers, I find them adorable but too cutesy for my taste, I remember having Diana as a starter once and honestly I couldn't stand her even though I found her really pretty and her house is gorgeous but she was just too much. I also had Beau once and I loved him so much but I just found him too "innocent" that he didn't really fit with my all-wolf town (in which I also had Fang and Whitney who I found to be too pretty lol)
I don't know why, but these types of villagers despite having no flaws when it come to their appearance, just don't tick with me, it's like they're too much, like too perfect. anyone else feels this way about certain villagers?

well, what's "cute" to me is the type of villager like Bruce, Bill, Colton,Jacques, Phil, Wolfgang. I have hard time liking most hamsters, penguins and squirrels....

I like characters who have more to them than just the cute factor. I find Stitches adorable, but he's also a little creepy because of his eyes. Tiffany and Bella are cool, they're more punk and edgy than most of the other villagers. Muffy is awesome, I like her concept and design. I find Claudia interesting also. Blanche has always been one of my favourite villagers, along with Ed and Drift. I prefer characters that I can think up stories for, such as Ed being a bit of an introverted band kid. It's nice to not have a villager who was made purely to be cuddled.

That's how I feel about Chrissy, I had her in my first town and at first I thought she was extremely adorable but now I just think her design is a little too much for my liking. Like she's too peppy to be a peppy villager, if that makes sense? I think she is a sweet peppy though, but she's just so bright and pink that I don't think I want her in any future towns of mine anytime soon haha.

i don't care for diana much either because she's too perfect. but i am biased towards the wolves bc i find them all to perfect and i almost ended up with an all wolf town-haha.

my fave villager is rasher because he's odd looking and he's so rude but he's so rude it's cute.

Nah. I love my cute villagers. I have an all hamster town, and they make me smile. I love their fat little bellies, and when they stand in a flower you can only see their heads.

My first town has my favorites, and they arn't really considered cute. Grizzly, peck, Aurora, Keaton, Merry, and Purrl. I will never let them leave.

I really enjoyed the way Rasher is animated. I was thoroughly amused when he showed up at my campsite haha. I find Beau a little boring; I would take Chester over Beau any other day just because his mouth and his teeth amuse me a lot. I think Diana is pretty but I haven't been too impressed with her animation.

I feel that way as well. I remember when I got Diana from my campsite and once she moved in I couldn't stand her. I mean, I thought she was pretty and I adored her house but I just couldn't make a connection :/ I had this same problem with Apple, Dierdre, Pekoe and many other villager as well. Beau currently lives in my town and he's just too 'sugary' for my taste. I dunno, I sorta have a love-hate relationship with cute villagers xD

i think the only villager I love who isn't in the "top tier" of cuteness is pietro and even then he's still rly cute....:,)

I love cute villagers but after a while I just get annoyed with them. Especially Marsahl. At first I was like "omg he so cute" and now I just can't stand him. He's too sensitive too. I just cant.

Merry, pekoe, bunnie and some others are meant to be really cute, but they totally rub me the wrong way. >.< Also all the duck villagers - just nope. Maybe it's bc ducks are evil irl.

picture two times in ACNL, but she sadly moved away. ;.;

Very understandable, honestly. However I'm a sucker for things that are over the top too cute. Which there's a word for btw: "Saccharine" which I think is pretty neat.

However I guess I should also add that I LOVE cranky villagers. They act all tough but are all really softies. I love villagers that are somewhat intimidating.

Too many people are so obsessed with having perfect looking villagers that they abhor cuties like Hazel that are also very cute but have fun features that make them stand out.

Pekoe is pretty ugly if you asked me, too human like with her hair and eyes and just ew. The same goes for Chrissy and Francine, make me wanna vomit.
