To those who are missing out on personalities...

I've never had a snooty villager. I've never even seen one except on my bf's island. I've been told they're not really snooty anymore. There's not many individual snooty characters that I like, either. I wouldn't mind getting Mint and would like to get Bitty (I know I know, one of the most unpopular characters, but I love her).
I've had only one smug villager, Henry, and I hated him so I kicked him out the first chance I got. I barely spoke to him. Since then, I've never encountered another smug villager.
On the opposite end of the spectrum I have 4 normal villagers. 4! 3 of them have the education hobby. I am getting so sick and tired of hearing the same dialogue from all 4 of them, I'm seriously going to have to kick out Poppy and Fauna as soon as possible. I mean, I like them both but there's only so much normal I can take.
Didn't know the DIYs were dictated by personality type, this could explain why I have so many duplicates but also quite a few gaps.

i'm missing snooty and sisterly(i have 3 jocks,too much muscle talk). my sisterly just left so i have been getting snootys in my campsite. i dont care for snootys but i need one for reactions and im trying to help a friend get vivian so i wont invite the ones in the campsite unless its her.
I’m missing a cranky. I just don’t seem to like them. Or I haven’t found that one that clicks with me yet. Although... I do kind of miss Wolfgang a bit.
I have considered trying out Dobie though since he actually looks like the old character I expect cranky’s to look like.

I'm missing a smug, and I really want one but I just keep running into cuties that I can't pass up before I find a smug!! literally the only smugs I've run into are just... not my style (like that bear that looks like julius caesar). I've traded for most of the missing DIYs I need so that's not an issue anymore, but I'm missing all the smug emotes

I don't have an uchi since none of their designs are very good tbh, kinda sucks since im missing their best friend reaction which happens to be one of my favourites lol, oh well it happens

I have Tammy right now and she's my only uchi, but she's not permanent. None of my dreamies are uchis and I just can't find one I want. I love Muffy to death but I refuse to bring another dreamie over from my NL town, so I just can't have her. I feel like once Tammy leaves I'm gonna be missing out, and I do like the personality but just not as much as the others

I was just going to suggest Lyman. He's a lazy without the bugs.
For folks who dislike uchi designs, I recommend Shari. Pashmina and Agnes are also fairly normal-looking.

At the moment I'm missing a Jock and a Smug villager.
I have a friend who said they would give me a Marshal amibo, so that I can get another music hobbyist on my island. But I'm still not sure who to get for my Jock. The only Hobbie i really want any new villagers to have is music and the choices are super duper slim as far as jocks who like music. At least of ones I want on my island. ^-^

Poncho is my jock bear cub and he's adorable. I have all the personalities except smug, because there are no smug bear cubs.
I can get smug DIY's easily by inviting smug amiibo campers, but I still need the final smug reaction, Showmanship, which you only get once you're "best friends" with a smug villager. At some point I might swap out one of my cubs for a smug just long enough to get the reaction, then move the cub back in via amiibo. But right now it's not that important to me.

Yeah I was refusing to get an uchi but since Muffy came I already got so many new stuff that I was glad I took her in lol

I used to have Genji, Reneigh and Fuchsia, but have since let them all go.
Unless you REALLY want all the reactions, I wouldn’t be too concerned about not having all the personalities. Diys can be easily obtained from the bottles and trading with friends/on the TBT.
You should choose villagers that you like and who you connect with

I have them all, and I personally will let my uchi and jock go but not for a reaaaaaaally long time since I wanna get all the reactions and DIYs. Unless Nintendo expands villager to more than 10, I’m probably going to keep them for now. I do like them but jocks mostly just talk about their muscles while uchis don’t really have much substance that makes them stand out from all the personalities all while making them memorable. I do agree they are definitely underrated but they just don’t have enough substance to make me want to keep them for a looooong time though.
