I've sent Fauna so much junk but she will NOT replace her modern wood chest, stereo or large alpine table. Has anyone had luck with her switching these out? I've come across villagers refusing to switch out one item but not three.

And if so, what is in its place?

Thanks for any help!!

Hoping someone that has Fauna can chime in.

I have had this happen before too. I think every villager has a piece of furniture(or multiple pieces) that they will never get rid of. For example Diana I'll never sell her whirlpool bath, Ankha won't sell her Sphinxes ect. Unfortunately I don't think that you can change it.

I don't have Fauna in my town, but I do have a very unoriginal Kid Cat. He's received all kinds of junk from me, but the only things that won't change are his TV, his weight bench, and his little stereo.
I suppose that's three things too... I never really thought about it, actually!

I definitely think there are pieces that some villagers will refuse to part with no matter what - with Marshal it's his stereo and bed, Ken his hearth, Harry his drip pail and so on. But on the other hand, I think Bluebear's let me change just about everything in her house as well as Deli.

The next time she invites you over, you should try buying all of them and see if she lets you.

She won't let me buy any of them. =(

Smileorange- Did Bluebear let go of her bookcase? My Bluebear is on her 3rd set of furniture. I have settled on the princess set since it looks okay with the bookshelf, apparently her most prized possession. It, however, looks horrid with her wall/floor.

I wonder if there is a master list somewhere of the items that can't be switched out.

I was REALLY hoping that it wasn't all three. Siiiigh. I even tried sending Fauna an alpine table with a different tablecloth. No use. I'm gonna have to rethink her color scheme because the pink regal set...not looking good with her items. =(

Marshal will part with his bed. I got an almost completely unoriginal Marshal once. I wish I had taken a pic! He had a custom ranch bed. I *think* he had his stereo though. He had one or two of his original items.

Oh! I had to check to see Bluebear's original house because she's been in my town since day one. Yup! She still has that bookcase! I thought I might have given it to her just because she's blue. I'm sorry it looks like it's a permanent fixture in her house! Everything else she's swapped with something. It might be the case for Fauna as well. D:

Yes! I gave Bluebear a princess bed which she swapped for her alpine table and it looked so good! But then later she swapped it out for an ocean sunfish. Haha. At one point her house was looking so good, but then I lost track of how many bugs and fish I was catching her.

Heh. I actually invited Marshal from my campsite just to get his sloppy items. (I absolutely love him now) I found the sloppy set on here and don't need it anymore. So haha Marshal's bed is safe from me an I will leave it alone. I do remember desperately trying to buy it from him. I think maybe it's his stereo he won't part with then?

That would be really convenient if there was a list of what can't be replaced! I've seen the lists that let you now what gifts to get the villagers, and have to wonder how they got that information.

like what others said, some items are the villagers favorites and wont change no matter what. its like theyre 'locked' to the villagers.

I wonder if it's like in Happy Home Designer where each villager has a set of pieces you HAVE to keep and they won't ever swap them.

I know. ;)
I'm trying to verify that all *3* of the pieces are locked.

I'm super curious if the villagers like the same pieces in HHD. The game is coming tomorrow and I have Fauna and Bluebear's cards...gonna investigate.

I want to find out what Lolly's fixed pieces are before I start her remodel! Save me a headache. I kept my villagers original til a few days ago when I decided to mess with everyone. Maple's house has sweets pieces now and it's soooo cute. I first started sending Bluebear a white rococo set. I abandoned that when i realized she doesn't put the head of the bed against the wall. It looked ridiculous. Silly Bluebear.

I had Diana once, the next day after I became mayor, Diana's whirlpool bath was up for sale at re-tail...

Seeing as I thought Marshal wouldn't sell his bed, maybe it might apply to Fauna as well? You might have to be really persistent and she'll eventually sell it! Three permanent items seems really high to me as well.

Oh yeah! White rococo sounds lovely! And Willow's like that too. I tried several times to give her a one space item and she always puts it right next to the door, but it's facing to the wall. It looks ridiculous! I'm going to have to put a potted plant there or something.

I find it fun decorating villagers houses and mess with them all the time. Haha. :D The sweets set has always been really cute! :D

Maybe I need to empty Retail. I've never had it where villagers had spaces they could use. Maybe Fauna would put the whirlpool bath I gave her up for sale...

You gave her a whirlpool bath??! I was searching for one of those for ages and had to buy it here.

I'm still trying to collect the cardboard set, and any extra sloppy, so I always have spaces open for them.

I sent a lot of letters with gifts attached, and villagers tend to keep them in storage and I manage to get them back one way or another.

Yeah, some villagers will never let go of some of their original furniture. I've never had Fauna, but for example, but Mint will never get rid of her Gracie chest, Cranston will never let go of his baby beds, Pekoe won't let go of her exotic bed, and Ankha won't get rid of her sphinxes.

I can't resist buying them when I see them at the island. That and kitchen islands. I tried a handful of things the size of her table. No luck.

Wow! It's just I've done a lot of island hopping and have yet to come across a whirlpool bath, and would never think of giving it to a villager. Must be nice. Haha.

I did stock up on silver axes that one time I managed to find them. I bought a whole basketful, and now never have to worry about tree stump designs again. :D

I gave Antonio a shower (haha cause he's a jock) thinking he'd put it in the corner of his room, but it turns out it takes up the same amount as a table! Now it's just randomly in the center of his room.

LOL at the shower as a centerpiece. Love it! I think I have about 30 silver axes. I need to do a giveaway or something because they're hogging all my space.

i think like people have said before, some items villagers wont give up at all.

i mean unless it's for ugly ass bugs and fish. usually you give them bugs and fish and every villager sells their entire house to accommodate for them.

Haha I know. :D It doesn't look too terrible because his interior is very blue (alpine set), and I can think of it as his little gym, but yeah it's not what I wanted for him. Maybe if he had more than one room like in HHD, it'd be ok.

I'm glad that you can walk through the tools though. I put them in a room in my museum, and yeah they're taking up so much space!

Oooh, maybe I should send her a whale shark! Ha. I'd laugh if that's what finally made her switch out the table. Too bad she has another large item, her bed. She just switches out things in that space.

I should dump them on the museum floor too. That's a good idea. They're still in my island bucket.
