Hi, fellow TBTers!

I am a member of Club Nintendo, and I am a Platinum member, and I am VERY displeased wit the selection of Platinum prizes this year. They are all game download codes.

INITIALLY THIS WAS AN AUCTION FOR MY FAVOURITE ELITE STATUS GIFT, DONKEY KONG COUNTRY RETURNS 3D FOR THE 3DS - A GREAT GAME - PROBLEM IS, I ALREADY OWN IT IN CARTRIDGE FORM!

HOWEVER BY REQUEST, I AM AUCTIONING OFF ANY OF THE DOWNLOAD CODES AVAILABLE FOR GOLD OR PLATINUM STATUS (SINCE I HAVEN'T CLAIMED ANY OF THEM YET)

  • Game & Wario (Wii U)
  • NES Remix (Wii U)
  • Earth Bound (Wii U)
  • Dr. Luigi (Wii U)
  • Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D (3DS) - HB 1500 TBTs
  • Fluidity: Spin Cycle (3DS)
  • Dillon's Rolling Western (3DS)
  • Mario & Donkey Kong - Minis on the Move (3DS)
  • Ice Climber (Wii U)
  • Kid Icarus (Wii U)
  • Super Mario Bros. (Wii U)
  • Zelda II - Adventure of Link (Wii U)
  • Donkey Kong 3 (3DS)
  • Wario Land II (3DS)
  • Metroid (3DS)
  • Super Mario Land: 6 Golden Coins (3DS)

One of them, the best one (in my opinion, anyway) was Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D or the Nintendo 3DS - Problem is, I already own the game in cartridge form, and none of the other prizes interested me either because I already own them or I am just not interested in them. DKCR 3DS is a GREAT game, I was a HUGE fan of Donkey Kong Country for the SNES back in the day, and I would highly recommend it if you haven't played it already.

So I thought I would host an auction here on TBT!

I am pretty sure the Download Codes are North American, since I am North American (Canadian, actually).

I have not chosen this prize yet or redeemed these codes (because that would defeat the purpose entirely). I will not do so until people show interest in having it.

The way I am going to do this is is host the auction and run it until AUGUST 1ST, 2014. I have until 11:59pm PT on August 15th to claim my Elite status gift. That will give me plenty of time to communicate with the winner of the auction, get the download code and give it to them to redeem.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THIS IS A REASONABLE WAY OF GOING ABOUT DOING THINGS. I have never sold a download code on here before and am unsteady about how it works, so please inform me if I am going about this the wrong way entirely.

AGAIN: I HAVE NOT CHOSEN ANY TITLE AS MY PRIZE YET OR REDEEMED THESE CODE YET.

Okay: So here are the details:

Starting bid: 100 TBT bells:
Minimum increment: 25 TBT bells

NO BUYOUT (I am unsure of the TBT value of a 3DS or Wii U download code)
AUCTION ENDS AUGUST 1ST 2014 at 7:00pm EST

UP TO PAGE 12 PEOPLE ARE BIDDING FOR DONKEY KONG COUNTRY RETURNS 3DS.

PLEASE SPECIFY IN YOUR BID FROM PAGE 12 OWARD WHAT GAME YOU ARE BIDDING FOR!

Thank you for stopping by!

Place your bids! Good luck! :D

***PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO WAIT TILL THE END OF THE AUCTION*** I have had many people withdrawal their bids because of this and it causes confusion on the thread. Please let me know if you feel I should end the auction sooner (for whatever reason) and I will consider doing so. THANK YOU!!!! I CAN TELL YOU THIS GAME IS WORTH THE WAIT!!!!

Donkey Kong Country 3DS is about 17,960 blocks in size or about 2GB, just as an estimate. I don't know about the rest. I apologize.

The game takes up like 3/5 of my ds but I haven't stopped playing since yesterday. What sucks is I keep falling and stuff xD

For the buyout question, depends on the full game's cost converted into TBT bells. I normally see $30 = 30k. But that is just my opinion. I hope that helps, have whatever Buyout you like~

Part of why I prefer cartridges. I made an exception for ACNL though. I downloaded that because I play it ALL the TIME. And Nintendo is known for long-lasting cartridges. :P

But its SOOOO fun, right?

Are you suggesting there should be a buyout? I am not familiar with auction etiquette. Are buyouts a must?

Yea it is fun. I also bought the digital version of AC so now I don't have much space

No, I am just saying what the normal price of the game would be in TBT bells. I was just answering your question by outbid.

Have whatever outbid you like, if you have one. I am only saying what is common to my eyes with these prices. It is my opinion from what I have seen.
