Tips on how to make a villager move? (Ricky)

So all of my villagers are nicely settled in the bottom half of town except one and it throws my game off. Any tricks that actually work to get a villager to leave? Besides someone else taking him, he's kinda funky looking.

i find befriending the villager helps to get them to ask to move a little faster
