I'm really sad because I was just plot resetting and got Teddy (who is major dreamie of mine! yay!) and then TT'd so that he'd move right in and I was so glad. But then I noticed I had a villager in my campsite and it was Pudge!!!!who is one of my favorite villagers. And I thought that it was too good to be true to get TWO dreamies in ONE day, and I guess it was too good to be true because after playing like 5 games with him, Pudge asked to move in and OF COURSE I said yes, but then he declined the invitation...
So my question is: Is there anyway to improve the chances of a camper moving in? Or are there any tips to help convince a villager to move in? Because this has happened TWICE now in the past couple of weeks. First with Daisy, and now with Pudge :(

They always decline the invitation to move in.You just have to keep asking them until they say yes.As long as you have nine or fewer villagers they'll always agree to move in.Some just take longer than others.I go in to the tent/igloo with nothing in my pockets and no bells in my wallet.I don't like to play the camper games and going in with nothing really speeds up the process.

Yep, I've gotten campsite villagers that way too(Lopez, specifically). They will say yes eventually as long as you have less than 10 villagers in your town.

Even more tips!! There are some chances that if the camper agrees to move in, they'd like to play a game to erase all their doubts! So if you win, they'll move in, but if you lose, they won't move in and get an item from you!
If you don't want this risk, decline their move in. Don't worry, they'll still ask you again and again. Once you talk to them and play games with them enough, they won't play a game for them to move in! I had Hugh camping once and I played TONS of games to play to sell my beetles, and I accidentally pressed yes to his move in and he agreed immediately.
