so i've looked up how to catch bees on ACNL and havent found much?? its impossible for me to catch them and i feel reeeeally dumb, lmao.
also i know a lot of people use paths and stuff, how long did it take you? im a perfectionist and i HATE when things overlap, like you cant put a tile right in front of the recycle shops door but anywhere else. any tips on not getting too frustrated if i try and make a pretty town? c: plus not to mention i have to move a million flowers around
What i do personally, (you may have found same tip somewhere) is when you shake a tree and the bees fall, run far off to the side (right or left from tree) so your have time to see the bees fly towards you and have a better chance of timing the catch right. Might take a bit of pre-planning to make sure no rocks/holes etc are in the way when you run. I hope that all makes sence
Don't feel too bad about it though. Took me some years before I caught my first bee
If you have a ton of flowers, you could make paths with those, as in making them borders of walkways.
On the bees question: have your net out when you shake the tree and shake it at either the 5 o'clock or 7 o'clock position. Make sure there are no flowers, clovers, patterns, etc. at the base of the tree so the bees fall where you can catch them. I like to spam A as soon as they fall and I most always catch them.
As to the other question: I have felt the same way. I eventually came to terms with the idea that this game is going to have imperfections in it, but that doesn't mean your town is less pretty because of that.
I usually put a flower beside the tree in front which makes the hive fall directly in front of the tree and I shake it from the opposite side from the side the flower’s on and have the net ready but some days you’re just going to get stung no matter what. You can dig a hole too. Just try what works best but directing where the hive will fall is the key.

I agree with Garrett. Hold your net, shake the tree and your mayor will turn toward the bees immediately. Simply snap down your net and that's it, simple as that. You don't have to run at all.
