Tips for catching a walking stick?

It's one of the last bugs I need. I'm trying to farm them on mystery islands like rare beetles but it's way less efficient since so many other bugs are out during 5-7pm. I'm thinking I might have better luck in the early morning. Any other tips from those who have caught one?

I found mine on every kind of tree, but hardest to see on evergreens (you have to look carefully because they look like little black lines on the tree trunk) … they’re hard to spot in low light and they’re very skittish … between 5 and 7 PM … I found them on my own island, and once I had managed to capture one, they seemed to appear in abundance … taunting me LOL

Are you TTing? If not, the walking stick does not occur in June on both hemispheres.
