Tips for breeding hybrids?

I'm planning to get pairs of each hybrid and breed from there. Is that a good plan?
Or is my current "base for each hybrids in a diagonal grid" better?
Any tips for a hybrid breeder?

Getting two pairs is a great plan, especially if they are from the hybrid bags that Leif gives out, because those will only every give you hybrids while breeding. But even if they're not from the hybrid bags, it's fine, they should still breed more hybrids. The diagonal grid thing is good too, though.

Some don't work well with the same colored pair, like pink tulips.

It's quicker to breed a red and white tulip to get a pink.

That doesn't apply to all colors!

Always use fertilzer, and only water what you are breeding.

Oh, wow... good to know. I've been watering everything assuming it increased the chances of each one blooming. I'll only water hybrids then

I have base pairs together and hybrids together(seperate of course) cause I'm trying to get an army of all flowers lol
I don't have fertilizer yet, but I've been doing good with my silver watering can

I grow all my hybrids on the beach so I don't accidentally trample on them (which I love to do) Plus you don't get confused when villagers decide to plant some crazy flowers near your hybrid spot when you are trying to get blue roses D:< so you have to restart everything again because you tt like 20 days and you still havent got blue/purple flowers bruabrubevbevaonfewfjrguteahrgoiregn

And gold watering can is amazing... Plus! I only focus on one flower type at a time to simplify myself otherwise I stress out thinking I'll never get enough pink lilies.

Dude, I've been breeding pink tulips from pink tulips since the game's release. In fact, I only use hybrids to breed hybrids.

Like I said, it doesn't apply to all pink flowers.

Many people have problems breeding pink tulips.

You do get more, and faster, using red and white parents.

If it's pink lilies, then they breed well together.

Pink roses can be a bit stubborn.

I find purple roses give me pink roses faster than two pink roses.

Then again, red and white roses are even faster.
