welp, I think I wanna start TTing. Ive had the game for about 3 weeks now and just paid everything of on my house. People who TT...Do you like doing it or do you think it ruins the game? and how much do you TT?(like a week in one normal day or what?)

I TT, but its never too much at a time. Usually its day by day. Sometimes I go backwards if I've missed something I wanted. I think it adds to the enjoyment of the game, being able to hop around in time.

You can change the clock for a reason. If it was bad, you couldn't change the clock.

I was against TTing at first, it didn't appeal to me because I wanted to achieve things day by day and have the satisfaction of waiting. I started TTing for the purpose of trading/giving away villagers and I don't regret it. Sometimes I will TT to finish a PWP so I can continue decorating my town. TTing (in moderation) is not a bad thing.
But it's your game, play how you like. I'd suggest looking up guides and stuff so you know the outcomes of TTing to make sure you don't do something you'll regret (losing a villager, turnips, weeds, etc).

I'm an avid TTer. I didn't want to when I first got the game, because I wanted to start fresh, but it was inevitable, ahah. ^-^ I get bored really easily, so I tend to TT a lot! Sometimes I even reset my town just because I'm bored with the layout and I'm ready for something new. But that's off-topic. TTing is a player choice though. It's your game, play how you want!

If you have beautiful town can you still get weeds from tting?

I know that you can still get weeds normally if you have the Beautiful Town Ordinance (only 1-2), so I would assume that if you TT'ed a large amount of time (like 1-2 months) forward, that you'd end up with a large amount of weeds (like uncontrollable).

I like time traveling when I actually want to play, 'cuz I play seriously. I send detailed letters to my neighbors, do them favors, etc.

I TT mostly to get villagers out, but that I hate doing. I'm trying to achieve my dream town, though, so I'll put up with it, but for now it is kinda ruining my fun.

I TT on a day to day basis. When I get bored of doing all of the 'daily' tasks one day, I just move on to the next. I don't feel like a cheater or anything because I am still following the timeline. I am not skipping far ahead to holidays to try to get rare items, I'm just playing day by day. Just a little faster, is all. I usually have 2-3 in game days pass per 1 real life day (I am currently in November).

Beautiful town will give you like 1 weed every week. I think it's the best ordinance for time travelers (early and night owl are pretty useless IMO because you can TT to a time when shops are open. Bell boom is an option but I don't like it :P).

Edit: As far as fun goes, a lot of people like the grind of waiting things out and playing the game in real time. Some people feel by speeding the game up and getting things like more hybrids (because more days passed) or more items (again, because more days passed and new items in shop) ruins the grind.

I'm on tomorrow and can't go back because I dont want to time travel more. At first I was against time traveling but not I like it because you can get your villagers out more easily and without it giving/trading villagers would be irritating. I still don't want to do it much though.

Time traveling is ruining your fun?

No, as I said before. Time traveling for me is fun. I can play when I otherwise wouldn't be able to have anything to do. However, since I am trying to get my dream villagers, TT'ing some out and some in is stressful and kinda' ruining my fun. 'Cuz when i TT forward I get letters from my neighbors and I can't really respond to them 'cuz I'm too busy TT'ing. Once I get my dream town, I won't TT to keep things fun again. Honestly, getting dream villagers feels like work.

Since restarting my town, I have temporarily taken up time travelling in order to get the topiaries in April. This is my primary purpose, and once I have them, I'm going to speed forward to the real world date, and that will be the end of it. At least for the time being. I prefer to let time pass naturally. Though waiting over a year for these PWPs was too tall an order, so I made an exception.

I tt so that when I am awake and able to play, store will be open. I usually only tt within the day by a few hours. It definately makes the games more enjoyable because I don't have to worry about the stores not being open this early.

i only tt for the purpose of changing and trading villagers, and for getting a chance at 'daytime' play when i'm only able to play acnl at night :)

My daughter is a third shifter, and she solved this problem by setting the time 12 hours ahead of real time. This allows her to play in daytime hours when she has time to sit down at her job (she is a caretaker, so she gets a few hours of downtime most nights). She will eventually set the town to early bird so that her shops open earlier and she can shop before she goes to work.

I TT to get my dream villagers mostly. I'll go back to day by day play after I get all my dreamies.
