I try not to. I was an serial time traveler in all other ACs since gamecube xD Now I will be more patient and so far I am doing great! Way better than in NL where I TTed on the first day like crazy.
I only time traveled once because my game came late, so I yesterday I played the first half of the day as the 20th and the second half of the day as the 21st. I really didn't want to be a day late on everything, and I think I can justify it for myself that I had two half days where I had no time to grind or anything. But from this point onward I will not time travel anymore.
i time travel as i go— its still relaxing for me, and i only tt if ive done everything i can stand that day and im still willing to play more. being stuck at home indefinitely makes it more common for me to tt LOL
Yes. I have always been a sucker for time travel. So far I only go one day ahead, then again one day ahead, and again. I’m trying not to month hop in this, I see no reason to go that far right now. At the end of my play session every day I also revert my time back to real life time so I never get too far ahead and things stay relatively normal.
I want to progress quickly, but not go overboard. I like my in game time to match reality. I get most of my enjoyment in regards to animal crossing from decorating my home and island. Also of course the animal interactions. Not really loving the tools breaking, the building things, and the resources stuff. I really do wish for a golden shovel or fishing rod that wont break, as well as the island editor thing. I just want to zone out and design stuff..
The journey is fun, always, if there was NO challenge it would be a snooze fest, but without the aide of time travel, especially in regards to this game, I could see myself becoming very discouraged. To each their own though!
I haven't time travelled yet, but I'm so tempted to so I can get museum and bridge and then I can actually get more progress in my town. There's still so much to do, that I didn't feel the need to time travel yesterday or friday but as time goes on and as it takes a day for things to build my patience sorta disappears.
I've never TTd and I pretty sure I won't do it this time around. I guess b/c I'm used to playing Animal Crossing without TTing, it doesn't really cross my mind when I run into an area where I can't do much. I've always played in such a way that when I reach a block, I just get excited about what will come the next day.
When I read people say they couldn't help but TT, it makes me wonder, "If I had time traveled in past games, would I also be tempted to do so now?" Probably.
When I read people say that they couldn't help it, it always surprises me, b/c I just don't feel that, but when I take a step back, I realize that for those people, it probably comes from the fact they are just used to playing that way, so waiting around for things to get started probably makes the game feel really slow to them otherwise.
I'm trying super hard not to TT this time round. I never really got that into NL and I think that's because I time traveled a reset a bunch. I'm also hoping that by not TTing I don't burn myself out and I can keep playing a bunch through the isolation and quarantines, haha
I TT'd one day so far just to open the museum and be on day 3 along w everyone who got it at midnight thursday! Don't think i'll be TTing seasons and such but I will TT to move out villagers and then just go back to the original date
I used to time travel A LOT in New Leaf, but I plan to tone it down for NH. :> I’ve already TTed a couple days ahead so I could unlock the museum and a couple villagers, (you can’t blame me.. the first day was boring and I’ve been stuck in the house the past week LOL ;-; ), but other than for progressing little things, I don’t plan to TT much.
We’ll see how this goes LOL I always end up changing my mind in the end
