Does TTing back in time affect your town the same as going forward?

I've been TTing 1-2 days at a time and am now at the end of Sept. I have a new villager that I want to KEEP but I want to be on the correct day....

In terms os weeds, hyrids, etc, yes, you will still lose villagers who are moving out though

if i tt back a month (or year), will i lose more than one villager?

I TT one day at a time, and when you go back it does count as one day. I TT until I reach September 5th, then TT all the way back to today's date, one day at a time. Weeds will grow and villagers will still ping to move out going backwards, but no hybrids or bamboo will grow.

Whenever I TT ahead I would always go about maybe 2 weeks ahead day by day. But I always just go straight back to today's actual date and no one ever surprise moves on me. Maybe I'm just lucky?

I'm not sure if moving in a big chunk of a month or even a year changes how many villagers you'd lose. You'd definitely lose one, but I'm not too sure if you would lose more than that. I play it safe and only do a day at a time to catch my moving villager.

I want to TT back to the normal date since I'm on February (don't ask) e.e I'm scared I'm going to lose a dream villager if I TT a huge chunk though.

In my experience, so long as you've checked and know nobody is moving you can make as big a leap as you like.

Lol thats the reason why if I'm tting on my main town I only do as much as I'd be willing to backtrack. I like to [for the most part] stay on the current date/time on that one. On my other town though I tt forward constantly, I think I'm close to October now.
