Okay so, I have a question
I hardly time travel days, usually I just do hours because I may not be able to play later on/couldn’t play earlier on
I woke up this morning and played new leaf, I couldn’t play later so I time traveled to 11am because I wanted to talk to all villagers. I wouldn’t have time travelled at all if they were all awake but it was 8am and most of them were asleep
After doing all my daily ‘tasks’ (talking to all villagers, digging up fossils, checking the stores etc) I time travelled back to my actual time (which was 9am)
Now this is where I get confused
By time traveling backwards, does the game reset what I have done? Specifically taking to villagers
Does the game think that I haven’t talked to any of them and registers them as ‘mayor has not talked/interacted with them today’ ?
thank you for reading!! I hope this wasn’t too confusing, I’m still new to time traveling

I'm not much of a time traveller myself, but as far as I know nothing will be undone as long as you saved.

When I time travel on NL I tend to go on the order of days, if not months, between times. I’ve noticed that certain larger actions (such as villagers moving in and out) are postponed, but not cancelled entirely, by going back in time. So, I would say that traveling back in time will not affect anything like talking to your villagers. However, I’m not a master at time traveling so take all this with a grain of salt.

I have always found that there were considerably less effects going backwards. You will keep all objects that you grabbed that day however it normally resets the fossils available in the ground. It also won’t cause villagers to move away nor large amounts of weeds to grow like going forward can. I have also never had an issue with villagers feeling neglected or thinking that I have not talked to them in ages. Then again I could be wrong about some stuff but that is just my experience
