Imbri
Resident Night Mare
I've just about had it, going into various villager homes and seeing the disaster areas they have created. Admittedly, it is partially my fault, given that I let them snipe things from me back when I was a new mayor and worried about staying on the good side of my neighbors, but it has to end somewhere.
Goldie, being a new resident, is still original. I am going to make sure she stays that way, because I like the mix of modern wood and minimalist items she has. Midge has been kept mainly original (she just keeps swapping the lovely lamp for a citrus tee when I'm not looking, so I should probably buy those in bulk).
Dizzy has a fun mix that I really like. There's a flower table I'd like to swap out, but I can live with it right now.
Hazel and Bonbon are the worst offenders. No matter what I do, Hazel is insistent on keeping patchwork furniture. Okay, I'll work with her a bit; I'm sending her patchwork items I've remade. She has the modern wood wall and I gave her a red patchwork sofa. It really looks good in there. Just mailed a dresser remade in warm colors, which I hope replaces the alpine dresser she has (not that I dislike that one, but it doesn't quite fit her place). I haven't been able to budge the table since she used it to replace a fossil (seriously, they have to stop going through my pockets when I'm not looking!), so I ordered another one and will remake it in... maybe beige tones? It's right in the middle of the room, so I want something lighter. Then maybe I can get her to accept a modern wood bed with a simple design.
Bonbon is going to be harder, because she's really attached to her stuff. I'm trying to switch her over to polka dot furniture, remade in caramel beige with peachy pink fabric. It isn't too in-your-face, but still is chipper enough for a peppy villager, I think.
Poor Kitt is caught half-way in the middle, and I'm not entirely sure what to do with her. I'll have to see what things catch my eye.
Mathilda needs some work. I found out that she likes the robo series, so that might work, although I think the sleek or modern would be better suited, especially in darker colors.
Roald, like many jocks, should have his house torn down and rebuilt from the ground up. It would not make things worse.
Vic has a pirate thing going, but he is now hoarding cannons. Seriously, there are two cannons, aimed out each window, an anchor, and a hopi tee (no, I don't know why he loves that one, either). I get it - he's a cranky, but does he really need to look as though he's about to become besieged? A nice bed would do wonders for him.
Beardo is trying to keep the rococo thing going, but it could use a bit of help.
Hopefully if I record this, it'll go into the "Official Salem Files" and I can get something done with it. Isabelle doesn't think it's relevant, but she isn't visiting these animals all the time! Maybe she has the right idea, staying cooped up in the Town Hall.
