Time changing events?

I had to take a peak inside the back cover of my new 3ds XL to make sure nothing was leaking. Looks good inside. I did have to remove the battery to look under it, which means I had to reset the clock. Will that have any effect on events today? I know daily events on other games will be messed up now.

if you changed just the system clock and not the game clock everything should be fine, i think. the turnips might detect a time change, but i'm not sure.
