tia or tangy?

please read the full thing! (i’ll be as short as possible)

a while ago i invited tia to my island but she didn’t come because there was no empty plot. later i got tia’s amiibo but she won’t move in because she’s “busy packing.” i think it’s a glitch

i finally have an empty plot and decided to go island hopping. i did this because i’m worried that tia won’t move in and i’ll end up having someone move in that i don’t like. i ended up finding tangy.

should i settle for tangy to be safe? should i invite tia again from someone else’s island and trade her for tangy? also if anyone else has experienced this problem please let me know

You could always take Tangy, enjoy her for a bit and then invite Tia the three visits before you can ask her to move. Maybe bringing Tangy in first would reset the problem with Tia?

I'm not aware of this glitch (if that's what it is), though, even if it's heard it mentioned before.

Tia is my favorite villager of all-time so it's impossible for me not to be biased on this one.

Maybe someone with more knowledge on this glitch could chime in with their experience, but it wouldn't hurt to invite Tangy if you can't get Tia anyways and let her live in your town for a while. Maybe by inviting Tangy it would reset Tia and she would be able to be invited? Other than that maybe you have to use another Amiibo card (other than Tia) to reset the problem?

Tangy is great. Also, if you decide to boot her from your island, you definitely won't have a hard time finding people to buy them for you, if you're into selling villagers.

I hope you are able to figure this out so that it's not causing you stress. I saw your thread from several days ago so it seems you have been dealing with this for a while.

I have Tia's card as well and in the future if you'd like I could bring her in to my cycle town and you could try adopting her there? Just drop me a PM if that's something you'd like to try sometime.

Tangy is awesome! You can always keep her around until you're able to use Tia's amiibo properly. I hope you are able to invite her, she's really cute!

It happened to me with Snake. Invited him twice with no problems, a few weeks pass and I try to invite him for the 3rd time. It goes to the answering machine and he says he's "busy moving". So I kicked out a resident on my island and Snake moved in naturally.

I would personally take Tangy if you don't mind her. Then when the glitch is patched, invite Tia as many times as you like or even kick Tangy out for her
