It does get repetitive but I don’t really mind it considering they’re the villagers I want. I feel like it would end up becoming that way eventually regardless if you have different type of personalities as their dialogue recycles anyway? But that’s just my opinion! It’s just a matter of preference honestly
I have two lazies right now and honestly, I could have an island full of them for all I care. They can all talk about their bugs and that time they ate the "puffy fish" and it made them itchy. I just want the little rascals to grow up strong and healthy and stay with me forever. Although I might want to throw in a cranky villager to help me take care of them. They're basically toddlers with their own houses.
I feel like once you have 1 of each personality it doesn't really matter if you end up with one extra of two personalities, or two extras of a personality you really like, since either way you'll be seeing repeated dialogue. If that third lazy was taking a spot that could be taken by a new personality then I'd advise against it, but if you already have all the personalities then why not add a third lazy if you don't mind listening to their dialogue that much. If anything you can pretend the three of them are like-minded friends who love to eat and talk about bugs together
I personally dont care if I have 3 or more personalities as long as I like my villagers. I have 3 normals. Im planning on getting rid of one but most of the villagers I like are normals so I dont mind replacing her with another normal or getting more normals
Can be repetitive but I think if your favorites happen to be the same character, you find unique things about them despite same dialogue
The only time it gets tricky is figuring out the lost item...since the "investigate" reveals at least the personality type, it's hard to guess who's "sophisticated book" it is when you have 3 normals haha (getting it right the first time btw isn't a huge deal, but it does increase friendship points by like 1?)
I currently have 3 lazies (Filbert, Zucker and Paolo) and the dialogue is quite repetitive.
The one incident that sticks out to me the most was one day when I was giving all my villagers foreign fruit. All 3 of my lazies said the same thing: that they would lie on the floor and eat it, and share with the bugs too. They then thanked me 3 times.
I think 2 of any personality is the maximum that I'll allow on my island in future. I only have plans to keep Zucker, Filbert was my lazy starter and although I adore him his default interior is meh, and I plan to replace Paolo with the next decent campsite visitor I get.
Yes. Honestly, it starts feeling repetitive after having 2 of the same personality sometimes. It helps though if the same personality villagers have different hobbies.
