Thoughts on time travelling

I usually do not time travel in Sundance, but I'll change the time inside the same day for stores or for catching (or trying to catch and failing, lol) bugs and fish.
Hangzhou is currently in january and I'm playing day by day, but I play to jump back to last year's november (or maybe forward to this year's, as long as I get and deny a moving ping before) as soon as my renovations are ready so I can update the dream address. :)

I very rarely TT. Only done it a couple of times to get villagers to move out. It isn't too bad in effecting the town with the Beautiful Ordiance. I just prefer to play the game in normal time but am okay with doing it

I time travel all the time. I use it to get things in the stores quicker, to stop villagers from moving out, etc.

I've never really considered it as cheating.

I almost never TT unless I absolutely have to. I'll reluctantly do it if I see a villager I really like being offered here and I still have 10 villagers. Other than that, I find TTing a bunch makes the game extremely fun for a couple days but then it just becomes boring. To me it's like playing with cheat codes.

I usually change the time on the same day when I'm checking my town. I only TT when I need to move in or replace a villager because I feel anxious to wait for the next day. I want everything done and over with as soon as possible.

I can't bring myself to do it, it feels like I'm cheating to gain an advantage. I only do it if I absolutely have no choice. :/

It's not cheating though.
It's an actual part of the game.

That's why one of the rumor's about you that the villager's start, is "So I hear you're a bit of a time traveller! ^_^

i've been TTing since wild world lol. i'm very impatient, i need the instant gratification from video games lol

Ha, I used to think TT was bad. When I was playing by myself, I let the game progressed naturally... but I also got really bored. Once my wife started to play, and I saw that she TT and nothing bad happened, then I started to do it too. It freshens up the game for me. There's only so much I can do in 1 day. Plus I'm so obsessed with PWPs that if it weren't for TT-ing, I don't think I would've gotten as many PWPs as I have now.

Weirdly enough, my villagers never call me a time-traveler. I wonder if it's because I always make sure to talk to them?

I talk to them, to make sure nobody is moving, and I do get furniture and fruit for them sometimes, and I'm always the 'time traveller' to them. ^_^

It went to bell hoarder for one day last week, which is absurd, since I had just spent FIVE MILLION bells on my alt character. O_o

I have been "flower fan" for as long as I can remember lol

I don't mind the flower fan, it's the bell hoarder I don't like.
My villagers never donated a CENT to any PWP since my town started over a year ago. O_o

The villagers in New Leaf will call you a time traveler if you do it a lot. So, the developers understand it's a playstyle.

There are people who look down on it, but it's generally pretty understood to be a common approach to Animal Crossing. I either do or don't depending on the file, amount of time I have to spend playing and workload in life in general.

I always time travel because I hate the winter season in game. I tend to stay on spring/summer because the greenery is more inspiring for me.

I play mostly in real time because I like the AC world seasons to be the same as IRL. But if I want to TT For a specific reason then I have no problem with it. It's a built in feature of the game for players to use as It pleases them.

Not for me.
In-game winter is summer here, and it doesn't snow.

I find it smothering, as it's so unnatural (for Australia).

i TT to get more clovers and to get rid of villagers (before i got amiibos) and because i can?t deal with the winter in game. i love winter irl but it?s so boring in acnl.

i find it absurd that some people judge TT?ers. i paid for the game and i?ll do what i like with it, take a seat lmao

right? the winter season is nice while its snowing, but when its sunny out in winter, the snow makes everything look so drab.

I can see what you mean. The seasons in Australia are totally different from the AC world anyway. I live in Scotland so it matches up well. Although we don't get that many hot days here in summer

That's the beauty of the game, it's different for everyone according to their preferences.
