I'm really wondering what people think of Julian the unicorn. Back when new leaf came out I thought he was so cool, and I tried my hardest to get him. Now on the forums I see him only selling for 10-30 NMT and other tier 1's like marshal and Raymond selling for 300+ NMT. What are your thoughts on this and your thoughts on Julian?

I think he’s cool, though I don’t don’t think I’ve ever been too crazy about him.
I had him in my New Leaf town after he camped there and I remember seeing him and thinking he looked super cool, but that’s about it.
I think Raymond and Marshal are becoming the two smug kings and that’s why he’s not being as sought after, but I do still people looking for him or having him as a dreamie

I think Julian lost alot of popularity this game. I remember having to fight the masses to get him in early New Leaf. I still really love him and would say he's one of my favorite villagers ever. But I definitely don't think he's S tier (though he's S tier in my heart) still like everyone is saying. I think he was probably the second most popular smug after Marshal but now that everyone has Raymond fever I think he's been kind of forgotten.
Since I remembered him being such a favourite on New Leaf, the fact he popped up as my first camper, I was so happy. But, I think this reaction was simply a combination of knowing he was a popular villager and that I didn't have some horribly ugly thing instead. Now that I actually have him, I don't really want him. His house is really cute though and if I can run into his house and slowly start stealing his furniture, I wouldn't mind agreeing to let him leave if he asked.
The only ones that sell for 300+ are Judy and Raymond.
I’ve seen Marshall as low as 20 on discord and Reddit. The reason Julian and Marshall are low is because they’re available through amiibo cards. They’re still relatively popular (Just nowhere near as much as Raymond).

I love him a lot. He was a dreamie in my NL town. I wasn't planning on making him a dreamie in NH just because I don't want too many of the same villagers, but I ended up finding him on an island (I wasn't even hunting, it was like my first ticket of the day) and so I took that opportunity. His house is BEAUTIFUL it's insane. His personality fits him so well too lmao

I love him!! He has SUCH a cool house in both NL and NH and I currently have him in both games! He may leave my island at some point, but is a permanent resident of my space-themed NL town.

I can't like him no matter what I do. I had him in my New Leaf town once, and he didn't sit with me.
I still think he's popular. He's still sought after on discord that I've seen. And yeah some do go for 10-20 nmt but isn't that much better and easier to afford? I mean I'll gladly drop 10-20 tickets for popular dreamies I'm looking for. Also while Julian is not my thing I find him very majestical.
My favorite smug in New Leaf. I was lucky enough to get him as a random move in before learning about his popularity. I had an inside joke that he was always high, and made his catchphrase "da weeeeed" (Which was a reference to "Stay Off The Weed"
Never got the appeal. I mean, I understand that a lot of people like pastel towns and unicorns kind fit that aesthetic, but personally, I wouldn't like him in my village.

I love him. Ever since I found him at my campsite in NL I've been in love with him. I was aware of his popularity but it's well deserved imo. He's a gay unicorn, what's not to love. Love his color scheme, LOVE his house, he's just so fun and fits the smug personality to a T.
I think he still is and will stay popular—maybe become more so once the hype around Raymond dies down.

lol that would be perfect for both Punchy and Biskit. I mean, one looks groggy as hell, and the other looks like he's drowning in a pool of mushroom tea haha
