Thoughts on how to fix my island?

When the game first started, I TT'd months at a time and now my island is super overgrown with flowers. Is there a fast way to remove them all or do I have to do it by hand?

You can carry around a trash can to place down where you are digging and move it as you move area. Quick way to empty your pockets.
You can ask friends to come help.

You'll also want to buy a ton of customization kits and keep a workbench handy so you don't need to replace your shovel while you work.

You can bring out your sub character. When the sub character digs the flowers goes directly into the recycle box.
I find that the fastest way to get rid of them
