...the fact that villagers can move ANYWHERE. who decided this was a good idea? why did they get rid of those signposts marking permanent places for homes? this is seriously bumming me out and i dont feel like playing anymore if villagers can just move in literally one space away from my town hall while also killing my purple roses. this game just isnt that fun anymore.

i know there's a method of starting up your game with a new character, but i shouldnt have to do that everyday just to avoid this. but i guess i should stop complaining.

if a villager has moved in a worse space, let me know so i can stop being so bummed out.

It sucks so much! But don't worry, everyone has that problem.
Pietro moved right in front of my home where I was planning to build my fountain. But after a while, I learned to live with it and move on until another villager decided to kill my hybrid garden.

When I started my game I picked a nice quiet spot far away from everyone near the beach, in the course of 3 days I gained 3 next door neighbors. You bet I wasn't happy.

Seriously, that sucks.
But that's why I made the Event Plaza directly in front of Town Hall when I created my town. No awkward house plots so far!

I have a small town island near the bottom of the map and so far I have 6 of my 9 villagers crowding it up. I barely had enough room to place a small park in my town... There's all this other space in my town, but they seemed to prefer the island better. Probably cause it's more accessible to the beach... But still!

Lol that's actually really funny xD

You can't let that ruin the game for you. Do a PwP and put it in front of the town hall. Plus, you should put your flowers in an area where they can't be ruined.

Kind of... It's also pretty obnoxious... Most of them are ones I want to keep and don't want to go through the process of moving them... There's at least one I can let move (maybe 2), but that wouldn't make much of a difference. When I started, I only had two living on the island... Must be popular...

While the feature can be annoying, I think it can also be very helpful too. Like if many parts of your town were restriced with signposts, it would be impossible to create parks or place PWPs where you want to. At least you know the villagers will move out, and their house will go with them.

Especially without leaving the sign posts. Those were annoying. In ACGC a lot of posts weren't there from the beginning. They would appear after the villager moved!

yeah i guess i need to just get over it and start protecting my flowers. :/

putting a pwp there is a good idea! except id need to wait for someone to suggest something good enough. ah well.

Just slap a fountain down there as soon as possible, since those are unlocked from the start. I went with a couple of streetlamps, myself.

You could just put a temporary one up and destroy it when something good comes in. \(^_^)/
Sorry if it sounded harsh. I'm just trying to help out.

I'm am and am not a fan of this feature. I like that there are no restricting sign posts, those just wouldn't work in this game because of the freedom to play projects. But I get annoyed having to do the new character trick to place new villagers in nice spots. But I just planned from the beginning, placing projects strategically and placing my paths fairly early. So it hasn't been much of a headache. :3

Next time you're expecting a fenced in area here's what you gotta do:

1. Create a new character [make sure you have space for a house]
2. Wander around your town to see if a house is in an area you like, if you don't like it then restart and do step 1
3. If you do like the placement of the house/villager inside, plop your house down and save

you can remove your character after this

You knew the villagers move anywhere, yet did nothing to protect your flowwers.
okay.

yeah. i guess i valued decorating more than protecting flowers, so its my fault for not expecting someone moving right in front of the town hall.

edit: theres no sarcasm in this!! sorry
