I had to double check too when I did it the other day while TT'ing. Cause I was button jamming like usual and I was like...wait who do I give this too? It's ok if you do it wrong I think you can keep guessing. Thankfully.

Actually you only get one chance. But if you're not sure who's the fake, you can always ask either for another clue.

If you get it wrong, you could always use one of your other characters and try again.
Or turn the game off and get yelled at by Resetti.

If you want the picture and the towel say you know the answer. Get the towel, leave the house and than drop it on the ground.
Walk back in and you'll get another question and a towel.
You can always do save/continue before going into the house. Just in case you mess up the answer.
A few I had problems figuring out which one was talking. A couple I didn't move back and forth like the other ones.
