Things you wish were in the new update!

I agree with you... half-way. It's true they went overboard with the villagers and the furniture, excessively in my opinion, but more fishes or island games aren't either what I would have wanted.
What about implementing carpets (and I don't mean floors), ceiling lamps or curtains? What would have been awesome! Or allowing the middle spaces? Even better!
More bushes, trees and flowers for landscaping was a great idea, adding natural diversity not only in colours.
And exterior decoration? That would have been SO GREAT! :-(

All of this would have been great... I guess it will be in the Switch AC.

-half squares in terms of decorating interiors (so i can put the damn food in the middle of the table and not on the edge)

it kinda seemed strange to me that they put in HHD's decorating methods, but not all the HHD stuff like rugs & ceiling decorations???? i really wanted both of those so that was kind of a bummer.

I'm loving everyone's ideas. For me, I wish they added a feature where your 'voided' villagers (villagers that have moved out, but had no other town to go to, but visit main street) had a 'safe-haven' which you could visit. Then you can visit their house and chat with them when you want. The friendship status you have with them won't be changed of how you met them in your actual town and you can send them letters. Their houses would be in rows or something, like the HH showcase. I don't really know how the whole thing would plan out, but I know many of us really want that villager back who we were best friends with. For me, I'd love to chat with Anicotti again aswell as Colton and Carmen...plus I wish I could have talked to my starter villagers more.
