I was just donating a fish to the museum and it hit me; Blathers used to tell something about the thing you donated, if you donated them individually! Now he just cuts of before he tells anything :( that is one thing I really miss!

What do you guys miss? It can be from any of the previous games!

I think we all need the signs for villager houses plotted around town in PG, WW and CF back. Anyone?

Yeah i miss the Blather's thing too :C it gave him so much character. I also miss the silly little holiday's back in ACWW like Yay Day and La Di Da Day

I remember on ACWW and maybe ACCF that there used to be a message of the week or something like that on the bulletin board, it was just a cute little reminder/comment. I also miss waving at villagers, I thought it was soo cute! And I thought it was funny when you weren't on a villagers good side and when you waved at them they'd give you a glare xD

Aww, I missed waving at villagers too. Every time I'm near a villager I wave at them. Now that I played New Leaf I totally forgot about this feature.

I REALLY miss the waving! It was so adorable ;_; I also miss the old sountrack. Hearing it makes me super nostalgic and happy ^^

I miss the character personalities. This game seems to have washed them out. Like in the older games Blathers would go on about the things that you donated to the museum, making it seem as though he really loved his job. Phyllis was also a lot meaner as was Mr. Resetti, which made the game really cool for me because I was used to playing games where all NPCs were more or less nice to me. Also, the villagers themselves said really mean things when you hardly knew them, it was really funny (and also rewarding when they started to treat you nicely.)

I never played the older games but I watched videos on youtube and I noticed that villagers like crankys for example were more rude and bold than they are in this game, they made me raise my brows a few times watching the videos :P
this game makes the villagers' comment much lighter than the previous games for some reason...

Wow, WW and CF really did have some amazing holidays/events. I remember them all, now you mention them.. Oh how I miss those days :o

The random presents! I don?t really like the balloon furniture items ^^

I also miss the funny/cute messages on the bulletin board! ^^

The flying saucer you could hit with your slingshot and make it fall to the ground.

On one of the games, you could search for ghosts at a certain time of night. If you found them all,you could ask them to pull all your weeds.

I also miss how much scarier the scorpions and tarantulas were. They were harder to catch, made hissing noises and scared the heck out of me.

I mostly miss the soundtrack, holidays like La Di Da Day, and the messages in bottles. AC:NL may look prettier, but it lacks that nostalgic, old-school AC feel. ;n;

The obsessions the villagers had. From what I remember, there would be different things the villagers would be interested in in WW, at least, like clothes, bugs, furniture, etc., and it would stick for a while, and at first the items they asked you for would be really vague, but then they would start being more specific. It was annoying sometimes, but still sort of cool.

Also, the random balloon presents someone already mentioned were great.

-Waving at villagers
-More variety in character dialogue
-Stories NPCs such as Blathers and the Able Sisters used to tell you about their problems
-Cranky villagers being cranky
-Snooty villagers being snooty
-The Wild World 1am and 2am themes

Oh, and of course, the Soliloquy and "Talking to myself" messages on the bulletin board <3
