Things you forgot about from old games

-i played new leaf again recently and i kept shoveling some hybrids out of habit

-i also forgot about phineas and getting badges from him

-tbh i didn’t forget this, but people probably forgot that we used to put items inside letters just so we’re able to carry more items lol so y’all better be grateful for the amount we can carry now

I still haven't gone back to any older games yet, but I do think I'll really miss the tool ring. I like it a lot.

I also like that things like fruit auto-stack. They don't do that in older games, including NL.

I didn't actually forget the flower mechanics changed, but when I went back to New Leaf, I found myself running even though I wasn't supposed to and when I killed a flower I remembered what I was playing...

Police station - its not something that I really miss at all apart for telling you who is visiting your town, but it isn't exactly top of the things I want most.

i lowkey highkey forgot about wendell for a while. i didn’t remember until luna and dreaming were brought back and some people mentioned that wendell’s role had been replaced by a design portal. i was like 👁👁 when i saw his name being mentioned LMAO

on an older note, i also forgot that in wild world, you were able to make deliveries for saharah and that’s how you could get her exclusive wallpapers & floorings

I kinda forgot about using the letters as storage, though I will admit that a month or so ago, i did try to put an item in the mail box with a letter that I saved.

I honestly forgot a lot of the stuff that NL had and all of the features from whichever of the other games I played since I took a couple years off NL and the forums before NH came out and didn’t play the previous AC games as much as NL or NH.

I haven't forgotten a thing.

All I think about is why the items and NPC's, PWP's etc, we got from NL aren't in this game.

I paid heaps for my amiibo's and they are virtually useless.

What a waste of a fantastic NPC, having Harv hosting Photopia instead of RV vans filled with awesome items we NEED to properly theme our islands and homes.

God I miss rococo.

And literally hundreds of other items including Giant, Zelda, Monster Hunter, etc.

Until I read this thread, I'd forgotten about how tedious it could get trying to unlock your favourite public works projects. I'm glad I don't have to do the same thing in New Horizons but I do miss having the wisteria trellis. I loved that one.

The biggest thing I miss from previous games apart from interesting characters is:

- Tools not breaking. I can’t express just how much hatred I have for the tool breaking mechanic in this game.

- Picking up flowers. It was such a relief when I played Wild World and New Leaf again that picking up flowers was a click of one button. Not having to faff around equipping the shovel, going through the digging animation, filling the hole back up again and dealing with shovels breaking after every 10th flower.

I wish Wendell was in this game and would just hang out in the plaza with Luna. There's totally room in the plaza for it.

I had forgotten about the move-out dates too though! They do go fast in NH, when you do let them go.

yes i forgot about him too lol i saw a tweet of characters glow up/before and after, and saw a picture of wendell on the left and a design portal on the right

OMG I forgot all about that LOL I used to do this all the time...the struggle was real

the struggle was truly real, one of the things that made me lazy when i returned to my new leaf town again was the lack of pocket and even storage space. it was a struggle to catch something, move flowers around and even keeping items thinking where you're going to put it. my mailbox is always full too lol.

I miss the plaza tree so much. And it’s funny how the animals walked in New Leaf, they had a bounce in their step. lol
I know people say that they don’t like the graphics now because of New Horizons but imo I still like the graphics. It doesn’t look horrible in my eyes.

Holy crap I forgot about Wendell so much that I had to google him to remember him...I had him confused with Phineas in my head and was like "oh yeah, the badge guy!"
Wow, poor Wendell... why did so many NPCs get entirely scrapped for NH? lol

I don't really know what I've forgotten because I've forgotten them but I have no intention of going back

I am going to say that I did like the move out dates, it did mean that you had to time travel if you wanted to trade your villagers around a lot but I didn't usually time travel, and instead it just gave me a few extra days to find someone to give it to. One day just isn't much on a forum based community
