Themed town moodboard threads?

What are your opinions on themed town moodboard threads? Imagine like a Pinterest, but like, in forum thread form, where peeps can post songs/dream town screenshots/ideas they have/qr codes or whatever based on a particular general town theme, like "fairy tale", "horror", "tropical" etc. that peeps can get inspired from.

Might tidy some of the "need ideas for my 3spooky5meme/~*fairy tale forest uwu*~" town????" type threads into one neat little place as well.

Just a thought.

I mean why not? I use Pinterest to organize all my future projects. It's a really helpful visually to plan.

It's just it could or might get messy quickly. That's the only dilemma if it will be posted on the forum versus using Pinterest directly?

True, I just thought it'd be cool because it's like a Pinterest but like everyone does the thing.
Sometimes a little messy can be good though, like a grab bag of town inspo - just click a page and roll with it

Maybe if the thread gets large at one point, you could do a table of contents or something? Or will this mood board thread have like one theme only?

One theme only, that's how you keep things relatively neat. You'd have to list the sort of "criteria" for meeting a certain theme sometimes to keep things proper and without too much overlap.

A lot of people who need town ideas normally have a base theme in mind that they want to expand on, so having a megathread for that would be helpful. And those that have no idea what they wanna do can take a gander through multiple ones and see which ideas appeal the most to them - it's a lot easier to see if you like a thing when there's a finished product in front of you and a bank of themes/stories to expand upon and create new twists to.

I could test the waters with one theme thread with a poll at the top where peeps can vote on themes to become other independent threads of their own.

A table of contents would be helpful.

You could always set a page limit and then TL;DR the stuff from the thread in the 1st post, having links to earlier threads in later ones.
Kind of like how imageboards do it when their threads reach the bump limit and they have to make a new one.
