The Villager Advisory Thread

I know I basically asked this already, but I narrowed it down by making another thread to get some answers...

Anyway the plan for my new town Royal is mostly in my sig, but I want an opinion on who should be in the last spot:
pekoe, fauna, nana, or alice. (unless you think either Felicity or Tammi would be better?)

Curious which of Roscoe, Rodeo, or Hopper people like the most. I'm still deciding which of the three I will go after when I have a open spot.

Nana is adorable :c I think she wouldn't match too well in town now...Pekoe or Fauna.

Definitely keep hopper. I would keep Roscoe :3

I accidentally made Rosie move and I don't know what to do. Should I cycle for her back? Should I try to get Felicity instead? She's a cute peppy cat too, but I've just had a nice bond with Rosie as she's one of my starters. I've saved a lot of letters from her and they make me happy, and I don't even know if it'd be the same for Felicity. I'm highly upset that I wasn't more careful. What would be best?
EDIT: If going back for Rosie would be better, I'd ask if someone could hold her.

If you have someone who you trust and who is patient who can hold Rosie, why not have them hold her while you "try out" felicity? I personally think Felicity is very cute!

Rosie is pretty popular so you or your holder can always "trade" or "sell" or "give" her later…?

I don't know if there's anyone that could hold her because the one I trust has a full town and isn't sure about what to do that would be sure enough since losing any important villagers would be bad (including one I paid for). And I'm so impatient but afraid that I'm not sure how to handle cycling out. I'm probably overthinking this, but this game is pretty important to me.

how long would it take to cycle out?
i mean you could always sell Rosie and then buy her back when you're through the cycle

I'm not sure, because I'm feeling kind of cautious about it after this. But it's kind of different then accidentally TTing other villagers because I was forewarned and she just didn't ping for some reason, and I could have probably gone to different hours? I don't know.
I guess I could do that, and maybe hopefully be able to pay for a Rosie that wasn't over what she sells for if I decide to get her back.

So I've grown really attached to Pierce and Del-- Pierce especially since I think he's the best looking eagle in the game. But at the same time, I've had them for the longest time and I've honestly grown kinda tired of them. Should I just keep holding on to them or do you think it'll be better to let them go and I should just try experiencing new villagers for a change? @_@ I'm just a lil paranoid that I'll start missing them loads and it'll be a pain to try to get them back again.

I have a similar question to one above between Rosie and Felicity. I have both in my town and am unsure who to keep. Opinions? C:

Edit:
Rosie is my last starter that's in my town.
Felicity I stumbled upon when I was doing the 16 villager cycle.

I think you should try letting go of Del, get a new villager and see how you feel without Del ~ then, if you think you're okay, let go of Pierce and try another new villager.
I like changes because I personally feel like every villager has his or her own specialty that makes them lovable ~ I am sure you will find another villager that will bring a fresh feel to your town!

I would keep Rosie :c not because she's popular, but a) she's your last starter (and come on -- its nostalgic) b) she has a very lovable personality and c) I like her house better than Felicity's
lol but yeah

Thanks I think I'll stick with her since I want to keep a starter in my town. Plus I absolutely fell in love with her in the animal crossing movie. I haven't really gotten close to Felicity (haven't even been inside her house...) since I've been focusing on cycling which I finished!

Thanks for the help! (Plus felicity is offering to move so huzzah!)

Hi Karen! I'm still trying to decide which villagers to choose to have more variety when it comes to personalities I'm having a hard time trying to choose a lazy and a smug, and I'm thinking about turning my town into all bunnies, since it is called Usagi, but if that happens I'll get a second game because I have other villagers I love to much to give up!
For lazy I'm thinking about Chester, Lucky, or Zucker and as far as smug goes, I'm considering O'Hare, Zell, or Ken!
Please help ^-^''

depends on the theme of your town :) who are your other villagers? i'll just tell you my opinions
IMO Lucky needs to be with Ankha or in an egyptian-themed town to fit in :x
Chester is super cute tbh
I love Zucker but some people think he's creepy (a living takoyaki walking around in your town!!)
O'Hare is cool and will fit into any town
Zell is sort of dark/psycho (the black/white contrast thing creeps me out a bit)
and Ken is hilarious XD

my personal favs are zucker and then o'hare but thats biased xD

My theme is kind of scattered I guess, I just like cute villagers but I have to many of some personalities so I figured I'd mix it up! A lot of my villagers have those rosy lil cheeks, so that could be something! Chester is really cute and he has blushy cheeks! O'hare seems cool and cute and if not Zell maybe Beau! I dunno so many possibilities :/

Yeah, I think I'll let Del go. I'll test the waters w/ him first. Mmhmm that's true, there's probably a whole load of other villagers out there that I'll grow to love lots as well (which incidentally-- was what happened with Graham and Bob).

Haha, I hope I do find someone who'll be worthy enough to take Gramp Del's place :p Thanks for the advice btw! :)

Hi! :D I've been cycling 16 villagers out so I can get my darling little Hamphrey back, but I recently acquired a few villagers whose designs I really liked, so it's cut my ability to move out villagers in half. I'm at 11/16 now, so it's not as bad and I can start to think about who I'd like to keep permanent, but my current conundrum is allowing Colton to go or stay. I'd also like to get rid of Mac but he hasn't pinged yet. I really like Colton and think he's cute, but I already have Lopez as my smug and they live pretty close to one another, so I'm kind of on the fence. It's a silly question since I'm the only one who can make the decision whether I like someone enough or not, but I'm just not sure. I'd hate to let him go and then once I finally get Hamphrey back, I have to keep moving villagers I don't like out. I hope this makes sense.

First decision is to choose between Lopez and Colton -- do you like Colton more now?
How many villagers do you have in your town that you don't like? If I'm getting this correctly you're purely cycling for Hamphrey with only about 3 permanent that you won't let go...? Or are you saying that you're planning to let him go and then cycle again to get him back? Once you get Hamphrey it won't take long to get those other villagers out >:3

If you really can't decide whether to let Colton go or not, just give it a bit more time. Cycle the other villagers you are sure about letting go of. Meanwhile talk to Colton and imagine him not in your town. TBH the whole "I've already gotten this personality in my town" doesn't matter - if you like him, keep him! Personalities only matter if you're hunting for PWP requests :3
