A minor improvement that I haven't seen anyone mention is that post-update animalese seems better. My character's name is Kilo. It's a Hawaiian word pronounced key-low. Before it sounded like the animals always called me "key" and the "low" part was always dropped off. It's there now. Also, I have Poppy on my island. For those who don't know, her default catchphrase is "nutty". Before, it sounded like "new-dee". It actually sounds like "nutty" now.

Those are the major things I've noticed, because I heard them all the time. Anyone else notice anything?

It's kinda subtle but I can agree that I've seen some improvement. I liked when I was asking Tom to move Phoebe's house and he said her name like "Peebee" haha

LMAO 'animalese' made me laugh. i agree, it's kinda weird being able to understand some of what they're saying. though when gulliver exclaims, "OH SHOOT" - it sounds like smth else to me haha

I thought I was picking up on more words than normal but I didn't look into it being connected to the update.

Yeah, I noticed the change first thing when I booted up the game Thursday morning after downloading the update. Since my character's name is pronounced noticably different now, that's why it hit me immediately for the change.

I thought I was understanding more, but I figured it was because I've been mentally translating animalese since ACGC.

Seems to me that way, though on the flip side my villagers won't speak any Animalese now. K.K. Slider is still singing but everyone else had their voice privileges revoked.

I haven't had any issues with that. My villagers still sing, no issues.

Huh I thought I was the only one that noticed that lol
Sadly it’s still not as good as the GameCube version of animalese (IMO) but it’s an improvement!
