So I reset my island because I disliked my old peninsula so much and also decided that I want a small beach of my own between the top of the island and the peninsula, hence a peninsula in the top right/left position.

When I finally found a map I liked, I got this tiny beach, which is...really too tiny to do anything with. Well, I'm only a day into the island, so reset time is likely. Still, I think it's best to ask around first.

I'm interested: People with peninsulas in the top left or right positions, how big is your tiny beach part? I'd love to see some pictures. I think I just got a really tiny one because of my peninsula shape, but who knows - maybe they're all that small? If yours is that tiny, what did you do with it?

Sorry I don't have a picture to share but I had no idea they could be this tiny!
This private beach is definitely really small... well, it's enough for a beach towel!

Mine is big enough for a poolside chair and a radio. So bigger than this 😂

I have a mini private beach by my house and it's not connected by the peninsula but it's blocked enough by rocks that I've named it "mine". It's about the width of 2 houses back to back, so not big but not too small. It doesn't stop my villagers from hanging around there or sitting behind my house though

Good to know that they come in bigger! A beach towel sadly isn't enough for me...

Well, then it's back to resetting land for me. Thanks for letting me know! A chair and a radio would definitely be nice to have there and I would also like a coconut tree on mine.

That sounds really cool actually! I don't think I've seen something like that before! :D If you ever share a picture, I'd love to see it!

Put an Ant Farm on there. Now you have a beach for ants. : P

Sorry, I don't have anything actually constructive to add. The tiny beach is hilarious, though.
:LOL:That's a great idea, though that still leaves me without my own beach, how sad! I won't keep this island, but I agree that it's a pretty hilarious beach! Well, I'll find it less hilarious once I'm in resetting hell again, but well, sometimes size matters. :P

May god have mercy on your resetting soul 😦
Haha, thank you! Well, I still have a few more days to find out how much I like the west river exit once I get island designer and if I find out I like two south ones and a central RS more, I'll have a LOT more maps to choose from. But if I like the west one (as I think I do), then...yeah, I need all the mercy I can get. Too bad about the tiny beach... having to factor in peninsula shape on top of everything as well now does really suck. I thought that wouldn't matter at all, but at the top of the island, it apparently really does.

I didn't know they could come this tiny! That's crazy. I'm going to follow the thread though and see what other people say. Are you able to fit any chairs there? Maybe you could fit a chair, a sand castle and/or a beach ball.

As the island is only a day old, I don't have much in terms of testing available yet. But I definitely want a coconut tree on my beach and it's definitely too small for that. It's a real pity it ended up so small, but it does sound like I had just bad luck if most people have bigger ones, so hopefully it shouldn't be hard to get one which is at least slightly larger next time.

Are you thinking of resetting again? I wonder if each peninsula takes up a certain amount of room on the beach prior to sticking out into the ocean so certain types aren't possible to have larger beaches if that makes sense.

that is so funny! didn't know that could happen. I can see it becoming a really cute area with some chairs and tiki torches or something! :)

Mine is about that size! I didn't reset at all for my island so i had no idea about how different everyone's islands are haha. I haven't done anything with it yet.

I definitely will reset, I just had an island with two south river exits before the one I tried out now and want to see if I like the west river I have this time so much more than two south ones that I'm willing to take a non-centered RS for it. Might as well use the island I have now for testing purposes. And I, too, think that this peninsula is bad for the small beach! On my minimap it looks pretty curved upwards and my old one definitely wasn't like that (but was not in the top position, so I had no idea the shape would be so important in the end).

Never realized it made a tiny beach lol. Hope this helps !

OMG thank you so much for the screenshot! This would be pretty much the ideal size of beach for me! Enough for a tree and a ramp leading down to it from the cliff - that's all I want!

There's a tiny path at the very bottom as you can see, but otherwise it's fully blocked off!
Oooooh this is so neat! :D I see what you mean now, my beach is very thin at one point, too, but not so close to the river mouth! That's a really, really cool and pretty place you have there! Thank you so much for sharing! Honestly that would work for me as well, but since I want the peninsula out of the way of my main beach anyway, I'll go for a top-right peninsula again during my next resetting period.

You mean it's as small as mine? Any cool ideas for it? I still try to think of something to do with it but I just can't think of anything. :/

The thing is that I want to make my peninsula a cliff so that the beach is really blocked off and private, so that'd really limit me, too. And I'm not really a fan of the tiki torches, basically the lower non-cliff area part of my map is to be an asian-themed town and the cliffy path more or a fairytale-forest, so I would want my tiny beach to be sort of inspired by either area. As it's more near the cliffs and would be surrounded by them, I had thought about some potted flowers, an iron garden bench under a coconut tree or maybe some shell furniture instead if I customize them to pearl color. But none of that fits into that tiny area. I know I have the rocks in the back, too...but then it's more a private rock than a private beach, lol.

I have the same tiny beach as you and claimed it as my own too! It's so cute and relaxing to have 'our own beach' next to our house :D right?
It is! I saw that part of my island on the first day and immediately plopped my tent down and said, "This is mine!" It's big enough to feel like you can put stuff on it but small enough that it's nice and private!
