The Sky is Purple?

I've witnessed this awesome feature twice now; first around the end of July last year, and again just a few weeks back.

I've played my game early in the morning at around 6-7 AM, and it's my favorite time to update my dreamtown because I love the mystical, beautiful look of the morning in New Leaf. I've gotten lucky enough to wake up and see a purple sky in my town instead of the usual blue one. I got some pictures.

Anyone else seen the purple sky? Do you know if there's a specific number of days in the year when it is purple, or if it just randomly happens on any given day?

I don't pay much attention to the sky, so I haven't seen it in my town, but I would say it's probably random, like how on some days the clouds are different shapes and stuff.

I haven't seen one in my town but I did saw one in a dream town and it simply wasn't yours. Seen the Red-Orange sky in the evening? That's my favorite.

Maybe it's an early morning thing, like the white birds that flew in Wild World when you woke up that early.

lovely! my favorite sky is definitely the cloudy one when it's rainy. it looks a little dreary but it's soothing.

Acnl has the best skys! I've never seen it that strong purple before, its really pretty
