I figure you have to stay in the country, but I don't know for sure. I also heard that if you take the thirty year option and die before you get all of your winnings, they do not transfer to your next of kin and instead go to the state.If you took it over thirty years, would you have to still be living in the U.S. to claim it? And what if you die, does the money just go away?
