the pink hydrangea is purple..change my mind

This was likely an issue of the word purple being too long, or they made a mistake in the localization because if you play the game in Japanese they're called purple azaleas. Can't speak for other languages but I'm guessing its the same.

And I love thats they're giving us more color options with the bushes! I can't have pink bushes everywhere haha. But I hope they make one with green flowers like the mums
The second last stage of holly bushes have green insteed of red like in the last stage. It's rather pretty. You would have to put them in sand to keep them that way. I didn't think to do that though, so I have no picture

that's a great idea! I'll try to freeze hydrangea and holly shrubs in their midle stage on my beach to keep them green but I wonder if they'll go back to being a plain bush when the season changes

I mean in real life, hydrangeas are reddish-purple and blue, unless dyed artificially. Maybe it's a locale thing, maybe in Japan they call it pink and the translators just directly translated it without giving it much thought? hmm

I was just about to say exactly this. They’re kind of weird colors in real life.

its the opposite - in japanese they're called purple but for some reason when they localized it to english they called it pink 🤔 the only explanation I can think of is that they wanted to shorten the name (like the did with "mums") but its only a difference of 2 letters...

ah I tried moving one of my shrubs to the beach and it looks like they can't be planted on the beach at all =/ so I don't know how I'd freeze their growth

Fun facts
In italian Pink hydrangea is translated in Ortensia Viola. Viola is purple.

Absolutely purple and I'm glad! It was a pleasant surprise for me when they bloomed.

Definitely purple! But personally I don't mind, I think it looks pretty paired up with the blue hydrangea bushes.

that's weird cause on the wiki I've been using they're labeled as 紫. I guess whoever made the post agreed that they look more purple haha. In that case I guess nintendo is just messing with us cause I can't see why they're calling it pink
