One day Marshal tried to call me "rutabaga". I was like, what?!? I could not say no to him. It's just a nickname so I know that will change over time. Then my other villagers started calling me that and it annoyed me. I feel like they're cursing me lol (I know what it actually means). Luckily, Audie suggested the "superfan" nickname again. I guess, I'd rather have them call me that than some strange nickname.
Yup! Not always, but sometimes when you turn them down, they'll be like "alright, so what CAN I call you?" and then a text box opens up and you can put in whatever you like
I learned this in NL after someone suggested a REALLY weird nickname and I was just like... no. Up until that point I'd ALWAYS said yes, but I had to draw the line on this one (don't remember what it was, though)
Muffy suggested a terrible one that I rejected, can't remember what it was (scrolling through the comments here it was probably backbeat because I definitely remember that it was back something). But I agreed to let my villagers call me 'reverb' and 'butterbean' (at least I think it's butterbean? It's butter something) even though I don't like these either since I was sick of being called 'lollipop' and 'superstar'. Idk what reverb even means. I miss my NL nickname which was 'genius'
I like 'genus' too. I was lucky enough that Marshal and Lucky both asked to call me that so I happily agreed. Much better than them calling me lollipop before.
Cherry might have been the first to suggest a nickname, which was "chief." And I was like "yeah ok sure."
But now I'm fixated. Nobody can call me anything else. Slowly, more villagers ask if they can call me "chief." I'm going mad with authority here.
I guess Chief should never move in now huh? I like him... But I can't handle the competition.

I let Rolf start calling me either skipper or skippy (i can't remember which) because he makes me think of a grandpa and i thought it was cute. but then i made the mistake of letting Frita who reminds me of a punk teen do the same and it just doesn't sit right when it comes from her idk why???
Flora has been my nickname giver and the last time I let her call me sweetkins. Since I usually just agree when other villagers ask to do the same, the male villagers have started calling me sweetkins as well, which kinda feels awkward. Good thing she’s thought of a new one, jetsetter, and it’s starting to catch on.
Teddy wanted to call me something really awful, so I said no and suggested "Beefcake" instead. (It was one of the nicknames jocks would suggest in Wild World, and as I was really into weighlifting, I loved it.)
So now my whole town calls me Beefcake for the third game in a row... as I'm running around with a pink bob, flowers in my hair, boa blouson with a heart patch...

My villagers started calling me Tater tot and puddin’, which I’m happy with. Before that, they were calling me Swanky, which is weird

Bill came up with the brilliant idea of calling me "mountain"... I was like "The heck?!", but I let him and the regret was stronger than his abs could ever be. Lolly (of all islanders, aghhh!) still uses it while literally everyone else has moved on.

Wow so many Burritos! I was named Burrito too lol. Stitches suggested Burrito and it spread to most villagers, then he suggested Guacamole and it spread to some villagers, then Fauna suggested Lollipop and it spread to some villagers... so I'm currently Burrito/Guacamole/Lollipop. Apparently I look like food to them
