The most you've seen anyone overcharge/undercharge on an item?

One of the ones I can remember is someone attempting to sell 1 crafted Crescent Moon Chair for 100 NMTs. Also someone attempting to charge 20 NMTs per entry fee at a 600+ price turnip island.

Usually on other groups I see or have been offered ridiculous prices for items I'm looking to buy. Someone will ask like 25 NMT for a streetlamp. Like nah, those should be 2-5 NMT each. But sometimes you get lucky and people are willing to let items/villagers go for a steal!

If I sell anything on the forum I rarely put prices, I let everyone decide for themselves. I've definitely seen people be really generous but I don't think I've ever seen someone low-ball be to the point where it really registered to me. Usually I see collaboration and kindness, so I try not to dwell on the times I've been overcharged because it's been counteracted by dozens of nice people giving things away at/near cost or free! :)

Once you've obtained it you should put it on display behind some iron bars and charge people 99k to visit and look at it.
I made a deal to purchase his poster and a hip wrap shirt given to someone by him for 30 NMTS. I've decided to start a Raymond museum, where everything will be displayed beautifully on gemini tables. Bookshelves will surround the priceless artifacts, detailing on the history and controversy of the lore over the office cat.

I low key ripped someone off back when the game first came out.

They offered me a cherry blossom DIY in exchange for one of my super common DIYs. I didn’t question it, and they seemed happy with the trade, so it’s all good I guess.

That's honestly ok because I didn't know the economy when I first started out and was ready to pay 20 NMTS for one crescent moon chair and I had to provide the materials 😭

back in cherry blossom season I wanted a bonsai because I hadn't got the recipe and this person offered me one for the material and 7 million bells to pay off their home. i declined.

there was one time I did a trade on a subreddit. She wanted to catalog a few beach balls, and I could get some of her items laying on the beach.

When I got there, she also offered me to take away her diys. Apparently, lots of her diys are flower wreaths/crowns I didn't have. So I got them all. Before I left, I still gave her five nmts, because I just felt bad for taking all these expensive diys.

tbh I usually just give stuff to people if that counts as undercharging, like today I had someone over who was a new player and while talking about different outfits they mentioned not having a wand, so I went ahead and made them one. I also used to give away DIYs, but I haven't done that as much just because our island is still a work in progress so I haven't been able to set that up again.

I honestly don't know the economy or bother with it.
I feel like most players take advantage of others in these types of situations where the players get to decide prices.
I don't have a million bells to drop on a DIY that is common for me and some other islanders. (<-- saw this this on where I was before coming here and the person selling just kept claiming he was only following prices other people had determined and didn't provide where he was seeing/getting these prices. I sold the same DIY to someone for only 2,000. I'm not going to make someone pay a million bells for anything in this game.)
I understand hoisting the price on some limited edition items and DIYs that are event exclusive, but also the problem with this is that those things come back yearly so at the same time they are not permanently expired, just temporarily expired until the next event or season. Or if we're talking about the bug off and fishing tourneys, those happen multiple times a year.

I'm typically like:
me- "you want this?"
person- "yeah."
me- "okay, here ya go."

I have given stuff away for free just to get rid of it. Once my pockets start getting full and the more annoyed I get, desperate I get, to get these things away from me, I hand them out.

The only things I'd say I don't just hand out are gold DIYs and seasonal DIYs.
I typically also hold onto the flower DIYs for things because those seem popular, but if no one is interested in trading I don't mind giving them to the person if they need it.
