I'm just a ghost.
For anyone who doesn't know what I am talking about. I am talking about how, when you transfer your character (regular Resident, not Resident Representative) to a different Switch (which requires two copies of the game and two Switches to do so). You start on a new island, and you're introduced to Tom Nook again.
Now, for me, since I've been doing this all the time, the villagers on my 2nd island already know who my character is, as well as the ones on the main island. However, whenever I transfer, it's as if all the Special NPCs' memories are reset. For example, Tom Nook has to remind me how DIY works, Orville reminds me how the airport works, and Kapp'n acts as if I've never been on Nook Mile Tours, despite being on the island before.
The only reason I do that is because I have two islands set in the Northern Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere, and since there is no way to send, transfer, or donate to the museum, this is one of the things I have to do to complete the museum.
