Yes. On July 2nd, 2010 a Live Action Avatar movie called "The Last Airbender" will be released in theaters. It will be directed by M. Night Shyamalan, and will be the first of 3 movies based of the 3 books in the series, the fist movie obviously being Book 1: Water, so no Toph or other favorite characters from books 2-3.

It will also have the following for the cast:

Yup. I'm looking forward to all the martial arts scenes being carried out with the elemental stuff thrown into the mix
