So, from the looks of it, the original amiibo villagers are NOT returning which is pretty disappointing. But, with all the different amiibo, it should be pretty easy to unlock the one you want!

Thank you for posting this!! I was so worried that it was literally going to be one amiibo for each character lol, I'm glad there's actually multiple ones you can use. I already have a Mipha amiibo on hand because my girlfriend loves her and displayed it literally right in front of the tv so I'm good to get Mineru once 3.0 releases! > w <

I'm really glad to see that I already have Amiibo figures that can be used to unlock Cece and Viché! I'll still need to get figures to unlock Tulin and Mineru, but it's nice that there are lots of options.

Ah, this is good to know! I got worried everything (items and villagers) was going to require more specific Amiibos

RIP Wolflink but thank you for providing this !! I was worried about not being able to get the right Amiibos for the Zelda villagers but it seems to be pretty broad !
