A lot of people have glasses or contacts, so I'm curious about other people's opinions on them. Here are a few questions!

Do you prefer contacts or glasses? Why or why not?

I mostly use contacts because I like the way they look on me. My glasses are unfortunately very loose on my nose so I don't like wearing them right now. For glasses I prefer rectangular plastic frames because I think they make me look stylish. I use my contacts/glasses for everyday activities since I'm nearsighted.

i have square ones but i wish i got the round ones

uhm, it was the most normal looking glasses

not really, i almost never wear them but lately my doctor has been nagging me about it and telling me my eyes will get worse if i don't use glasses even for reading at least or something like that

I prefer glasses for two reasons. First because when I was born, a mean fairy looked upon my cradle and decided to give me the gift of horrible clumsy fingers that prevent me from putting contacts on (seriously, I tried so many times and I'm always failing, I must be cursed). Secondly, I like the look they give me. It's an accessory of its own!

Nearsighted and like, badly. I'm 18 and I'm more myopic than my dad. He's 52. That's sad.

Kind of round square.

Why did you choose your particular style of glasses?

They're big enough for me to see clearly (which is essential to me, it might seem dumb but a lot of people just choose glasses for the looks), I like how they look, and they're brown, just like I wanted them to be. They're pretty original and make my eyes look good, so in the morning when I'm too lazy to put on some eyeliner, my eyes don't look completely shut or ugly.

Everyday, all the time, I'm lost without my beloved glasses...

Rectangular. I actually had to search for them to answer this question and I've had them two years.

I couldn't fricking see what I was putting on so I just tried on some randomly until I found a pair that my mother thought looked alright.

I need them for everything.


I usually wear cosmetic circle lenses, rather than clear lenses, that are made to enlarge the look of the iris. I usually have two pairs on the go at once so I can alternate between colours. Currently I've brown and grey.

I prefer contact lenses because I like my overall image without glasses. Frames get in the way too and they make my fringe flick out at the sides (although my friends say it looks nice, it also annoys me in general with flicky hair). Also, glasses hurt my ears.

Shortsighted.

My backups are rectangular.

I'm pretty sure they're plastic, ish. I find them more comfortable than metal ones.

Why did you choose your particular style of glasses?
They went with my face shape the best. I didn't choose them for any particular reason, since I wear contact lenses anyway. I only have them for backup after all.

I wear my contact lenses for most of the time, during the day. For the past couple of weeks I've been wearing my glasses because I'm switching to different contacts. They messed up my prescription, so I ended up having to wait even longer. I'll be me again by tomorrow evening. Hopefully...

Glasses all the way. I've just always liked wearing them and feel like they "fit" me really well.

Nearsighted with astigmatism.

I have a few different pairs, but the ones I wear most are my Ray Ban 5150's. I'd say they're a tapered square shape.

All my pairs are plastic. Not a fan of metal frames on my face.
Why did you choose your particular style of glasses?
I choose based on comfort (since I'm going to be wearing them all day) and whether or not they look good.
Do you need to use your glasses/contacts for everyday activities or just for reading (or for something else)?
I essentially wear them anytime I want or need to see clearly, which is normally all day. My vision isn't so bad that I can't perform normal activities sans glasses, but everything is hazy and ever so slightly distorted. I always wear them while driving or if I'm not at home, but don't wear them during exercise or when I'm lazing around the house in the later evening.

I was looking for a more vintage-y look, i thought maybe i'd suit it and enjoy wearing my glasses more but i couldn't find any the way i wanted so i just compromised.
