With the fact they are already down 1 mafia, and in the event that they lost another mafia, Toad being mafia as well is unlikely. That would be risky and if scum!Toad knows he cannot change town's mind, there is no point in him trying to save Punchy. Yes, the KP may go down. Yes, Punchy may be some important role. But that doesn't matter if you end up exposing the rest of the team.
Regardless, I do not view Toad as scummy for defending Punchy.

Mafia should know it would be suicide for one of their members to make such a mistake. If anything, a more logical choice would be to lynch Tae for being essentially inactive at that point.
I'm honestly going to say Rune probably chose Evan because she had some kind of gut feeling. If rune was mafia, and is obviously under stress and anxiety atm, she would have followed what mafia would have said. I don't think mafia (being 2 other people with Rune) would make such a big mistake. Rune was seen as null or slight townlean, and lynching someone totally random is odd.
If mafia wanted to make it seem believable, they would have told Rune to either kill Tae (could say gut feeling for the inactivity), Bianca, or Ness. I understand that Rune suspected Evan and therefore an argument could be made that "oh she just doubled back and went with her gut!" If it was this thought out, mafia would be telling Rune to calm down and to just explain why.
The fact that Rune panicked and left the game should tell you all (since I already know rune/I are town) that no one was helping her. No one has been coaching her on what to say. She was just anxious and alone.
edit: By the time I wrote all of that I got to the point in the thread where everyone backed off of rune. lmfao. I'm not deleting that tho. I can't believe I just wasted writing a psuedo defense for myself smh.

I read a LOT about Trundle and Ness. In response to some people thinking they were fake almost, Ness's posts looked genuine to me for some reason. Trundle not so much, but he's been nailing into our heads this isn't his normal gameplay so whatever. No way they're maf together
I feel like Chele is the most town because from what I've seen they're pushing with some good in game evidence, not a lot of meta which is the easy route in this game right now
I find Jacob's lean on Chele interesting. Chele does not question Jacob either.
Also I bolded the part where Jacob mentions Ness, I am currently null on Ness but I thought it would be interesting since Ness is the hot topic so far.
You state that Bianca has a scummy tone rn, but the thing is that her tone seems like she is Town. She is answering questions and isn't keeping to herself much (that's something that scum Bianca would do). Although she mostly says "lynch inactives!", at least she contributes tbh. Also I agree on her part when she said that she's more good on day 2-3, because in one of the games where I was mafia (bleh), Bianca was like the most useful townie, and she didn't really have an informal or formal tone. She stepped up in the game towards the last few days, and we could sorta tell why she's not indulged in conversation right now. We are still at that awkward early game conversation stage in all honesty.
Also if not Bianca, then who'd you want to lynch?

Tbh, I haven't really seen anything from her besides wanting to lynch Punchy. But I also read really fast so maybe I missed a bit. But I never saw Chele say anything about Jacob. Or anything too strong of an opinion. (feel free to correct me if i am wrong)
As for the other 2, if Chele = scum then bianca = scum. The other person I'd consider is Heyden, but Heyden did probe Bianca a little bit at the beginning (which then gave Jacob the chance to defend Bianca).
