The amiibo method

I've heard people mention using amiibo to kick out a villager around the forums but I don't actually see a thread on how to do it? especially since I've never used amiibo before. So I wanted to ask if someone had an explanation on how to kick out villagers by amiibo cards

i’m pretty sure what happens is when you invite an amiibo villager, if you already have 10 villagers in town, you’ll just be asked who you would like to ~ persuade to leave ~ and then they’ll move out so your amiibo villager can move in idk if you can kick anyone out if you have less than 10 villagers
