How much of a decline do you think we'll see in people playing AC and using TBT when Pokemon is released tomorrow ? Personally I hope it's not vast, I'm going to buy Pokemon but I'll still be sticking as much of my man hours into AC as I can. I think it's inevitable that there will be some sort of decline after tomorrow but I hope it's not too much. I personally see Pokemon as a nice partner to AC on my 3DS not a rival,

Interested to here your thoughts ?

I'm the same. I didn't realise I wanted Pokemon until Wednesday, preordered X yesterday and it'll be here tomorrow! I'll still keep in with my town, I've bought a c ouple of games, although not as hotly anticipated as Pokemon, and still played AC every day since launch. There's so much to achieve and festivals coming up alongside the fishing tourneys!!

P.S. The thread may be moved to a different section (Nintendo), just in case you check it and it goes suddenly!!

Pokemon X/Y will pwn.

I'll have to share time between that two games.

That means 12h of ACNL and 12h of Pok?mon and no social life. Or just between 1-2h each one.

I always feel like I get burnt out on Pokemon games in a week or two. Yet I keep buying them.

Who knows?

We have a pretty big Pokemon fanbase here as well, check out the Nintendo board under Gamers' Lounge. Hoping to see people stick around, even if it's for Pokemon and not AC anymore.

On a personal note, I haven't been actively playing AC anyway in the last month or so, so it won't be much of a change for me. Not sure how much I'll play Pokemon either, I'm not a super fan, but the other staff have peer pressured me into buying it tomorrow.

That's me.

The only ones I've finished are Pearl and Blue. I don't know if Pearl was easier or if I just had a lot of free time.

Like Justin, I'll still be playing AC:NL as often as I currently am, I go through my stages of doing no more than an hour a day, but like yesterday I ended up doing 10 hours! I presume I'll be doing the same with Pokemon.

Not getting Pokemon 'til November so...

Besides, even if I was getting it on Oct 12, there's only so much Pokemon I can play at a time until I get bored, so I can easily manage my time between AC and Pokemon

I'll move to another forum in a month or so, maybe. I love Pokemon but I gotta stay away from the spoilers :P

16 more hours for my copy <3

I won't be getting Pokemon for a while but even when I do finally get it I'll still be playing AC everyday.

I'm throwing New Leaf in the trash as soon as I get Pokemon.

Just kidding. Duh. I'll be playing Pokemon, but I'll still make time for my daily activities in New Leaf.

I've already noticed a decline, and the game isn't even out yet. To be blunt, some people have already gotten bored. Our community is already smaller.

I still haven't decided if I'm going to even get the game at all. I'm already overwhelmed with my game backlog as it is. If I get it, it'll be later on.

I refuse to buy it on launch, I have better purchases to make.

Same with the whole I'll get bored of it in about two weeks, Heck I'd probably finish it within 2 Days if I play it casually (White 2 was just too friggin' easy)

I'm not giving AC a rest until I get Marina & Diana or Dotty.

I dont have enough money for a new game yet so I will be here still haha. I am not burnt out on AC yet~

I have never played a Pokemon game and won't be strarting now. I don't have much free time and love playing AC. So why would I stop. I stopped playing Luigi Mansion Dark Moon when New Leaf came out and I don't know if I'll ever get back to it. Maybe after a full year of AC (and I finally catch that darn tarantula) then I might go back to Luigi Mansion.

There will defiantly be a decline but I don't think it'll be too drastic over time.
Give people a week to Pokemon themselves out and they'll come back to AC :D

I'll probably juggle between the two games since they are really the only 3DS games I own. (I'm serious)

I've been wondering how I'll adapt when pokemon is included in my gaming routine. I'm already at the point where I wish ACNL didn't require as much of my time as it does currently. Watering flowers is a royal pain in the arse and takes quite awhile (among other maintenance tasks). I've been deciding which parts of my town I'll let die off and which I'll maintain. The goal is to not spend more than 20 minutes a day on "maintenance" just to keep it looking the same way. It takes a lot of time now. That way I can go back to actually having fun.

No matter what, I'll still be on TBT and play ACNL even if it's just for the events. I really enjoy how ACNL ties in the real calendar and follows real events. So I'll always have a presence in ACNL. Just how much of a presence is the question.

I would suggest setting the "Beautiful Ordinance" so you won't have to water them at all. I'll probably be playing New Leaf very little within these next few weeks myself.

There may be, but it doesn't mean that everyone's going to be leaving. X/Y isn't as time consuming I suppose as New Leaf (although that does depend on how you play (eg: if you choose to get into all the EV training and stuff)), but people will still have time for TBT. Because, this is such a nice little community, and we know if everyone's getting X/Y on here, or rather the vast majority, people may just turn their focus to that a bit more rather than solely New Leaf.

I won't be getting X/Y until Christmas though, I think, since I have no money. Ah well. Just sucks I won't be able to be caught up in all the hype and excitement for it. But then I suppose later on I'll know exactly what to do and what not to do.
