In the last Direct, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe got announced and with this also the new
character Peachette, which is a kinda a hybrid of Toadette and Peach. Once Toadette use a
item called "Super Crown", she transform into Peachette.

Here's a pic of her:

I already saw lots of people around the internet which are very confused about Peachette.
Some even made theories, like if she is the original ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom, if Peach
is actually a Toad turned into a human and so on.

So what do you think of Peachette? I have to say, she's kinda cute, but I'm also confused
how and why Toadette turn into a Peach lookalike and what's the meaning behind all this.

I think she looks adorable. She looks like a younger, more child like Peach to me. I'm sure that the game or a future Peach game will explain what magic this is :p

In Mario 64 DS, you could pick caps of Mario, Luigi, or Wario when you didn't play with one of them, and when you did you would transform into them and have their abilities.

I presume that the Peachette situation is similar to Cap Transformations.

Who Peachette is or what her origins are is beyond me, but she is certainly adorable. Toadette is one of my favourite Nintendo Characters so Peachette is right up my alley. I probably won’t be picking up New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe though, since I own both games for Wii U. Hopefully she makes an appearance in some other games!

Yeah, I was kind of confused too. But, I do love the design. I would love some more Mario lore to explain it!

When I first saw that in the video I was like why did they decided to make another peach again.
I'm tired of these mario princesses

Peachette is awesome, I hope she appears in later games. I wonder what happens to Mario, Nabbit, Toad, or Luigi when they get a Super Crown......

i actually didn't know about this... she's super cute though, i hope we get more info on her soon

peachette is so cute, i love her little shoes!!!!! i hope she's in more games!
i kinda doubt that peach is actually a toad but i really like the idea. i wanna see toad peach!

I think she's so cute! However it sucks that I bought the game for the Wii U and now in order to use Peachette i'm going to have to repurchase the game. :(

Peachette is the reason I'm not buying this game lmao

I never really have strong feelings on anything with Nintendo. I was fine with Pink Gold Peach but Toadette using a power up to become Peachette but she's still actually Toadette??? Just no. Then there's also the fact that she replaces blue Toad instead of yellow Toad, rip. Also why even remove any Toads just keep them both and ADD Toadette??

I guess she looks cute but it's just dumb how they make Toadette transform into a Peach rip off. Why not have Peachette be a seperate character as an easy mode like Nabbit. She could be Peach's magic illusion or something? Nintendo has always implied that Peach has magic powers so why not explain it that way idk. Anything would be better than this

Tldr this game triggers me

Bring back Toadette is what I say. This just ends Peach's individuality, can't we leave Peach as who she is/used to be?

I personally don't like her. Seems like a bit of an odd direction to have Toads turning into humans. I always thought of them as distinct creatures, so seeing this is just weird...
