Sometimes I see a really nice villager in my campsite but I have no space to have him.....do u ever feel that if so put all of your hate for that limit here and we can hope they change it in the future!

i think we need no villager limit so I can have 300 villagers and no 16 villager cycle or any wait time before you can get the same villager again so all 300 can be marshal

I think maximum should be 12 (with villager 10, 11 and 12 only moving in if you talk to them at the camp site/in another town when they're in boxes). Else the town will be way too full u.u
Guess I'll just buy a second game when I have the money...

So many times I've contemplated which villagers I wanted, and almost every time I'd be down to 11 or 12 villagers, having to deal without 2 and eventually move others out. I also wish there was a way to sort of 'lock' villagers, meaning for example I could lock all my villagers except Caroline and Marshal, so none of my others would ever ask to move unless I unlocked or unfavorited them, so they can't move away or even ask about it, only the 'unlocked' or maybe 'un-favorited' villagers could move. But yeah I think at least 12-15 residents would be nice in a future installment.

That is a great idea. I wish for about 2 more or so depending on my town size and layout and a locking feature would be terrific. Then nobody would ever have to worry about missing a day here or there and losing a villager they really like especially when you cannot persuade them to stay when they have their boxes packed.

I wish it were 13. Then I could fit in more awesome villagers!

Neo Mercury: Lionel, Merengue, Stitches
Planet Vegeta: Lucha, Knox, Rocket

Forget about only having 10 villagers, can we please have at least a 10-15 character cap.

Yeah, I really would want to have more than 10 villagers c: Especially getting villagers from void is totally horrible and it's so annoying that your 10th villager is always some lame villager from your friend's town.. :D

An animal crossing with no limit would have to be like animal crossing world wide and you would have to own like an entire country to fit everyone goodness!
But It would be nice to have like 16 (two of each personality if wanted) c=

Come on guys, if we had a higher limit we'd probably still have the exact same problem and want even more :P

On the GC, you had 15 villagers, which worked fine. But I think in ACNL, I'd get irritated by it. Too many villagers pinging me to change their catchphrase.

I personally don't understand a lot of ACNL's systems. Some things appear to be put in specifically to waste your time. The game feels uncompromising at times. Like the 3 or 4 boxes of text you have to skip every time you have to do something through an NPC and you make a mistake. The fact that there's no rudimentary placement system so we don't have to keep talking to Isabelle until we think it fits. There are so many snips here and there that just save so much time and a mashing, like the 16 villagers cycle. I don't understand why they're so fixated on long-winded NPC's. I mean in the past I have liked wordy NPC's like Blathers, but he doesn't even live up to his name anymore.

Another thing is why arent we rewarded for completing museum exhibits? A congratulations doesn't make me want to complete the others. So many times playing this game have I just thought "Why did I even do that?" or "What was the point of that?". Yet I keep playing. For hours. And hours.

It's space constraints for the most part. I think 12 could work in ACNL, but going beyond that would make the town crowded. You'd also have less space for PWPs and whatnot.

They could also remove the limit, and only have villagers move in based on the space you have. That way you decide the balance yourself.
