last forum I was at had no moderation staff whatsoever, and we did fine for at least two years. then I quit.

they're still keeping afloat with about 10 regular posters.

Besides I think they set it to admin approval for new accounts, at least blocking really stupid named trolls, as well as troll from being able to restart an account right away.
