Tarantulas and Scorpions?

Anyone here afraid of them and yet still want to catch them?

Last year in a different town, I got attacked by both creatures so now I'm afraid but still want to catch them for my catalog.

What are your opinions on them? Have you been attacked by them? What do you think helps you catch them?

Bugs and fish are like Pokemon. Gotta Catch' em all!

I ran into a couple of scorpions but never a tarantula. I need both to put in my museum but I'm too afraid too catch one. I have a question. If someone caught a tarantula or scorpion, could they donate it to my museum. Cause, that's what I might do (yes I'm a wimp -_- get over it)

You cannot donate to another town's museum, so you're on your own. All I can say is don't be afraid of them; if they bite you, then you just get sent back to your house.

I get scared right away when I see them but yet I try to catch them too. BUT THEY KEEP RUNNING AWAY FROM ME xD. I remember in Animal Crossing: Wild World when a villager asked me to buy my scorpion... and I never visited their house again. lol

First time I saw a tarantula was when I started the game and it immediately tried to attack me (I started out with my net on me) I turned off my consol...

I actually like getting attacked. I think it's pretty funny. I haven't been able to catch a tarantula yet since I've only seen them o the title screen and not in game. I've caught a scorpion. I've also been attacked by a scorpion, which I found pretty amusing.

On my first night on my second town, I saw a tarantula, but it jumped into the river before I could catch it. The next night one bit me, and I caught the one I saw after that. I caught the first scorpion I saw. So I'd consider myself pretty lucky with catching them.

I don't get it...I don't find them scary at all. if I get attacked by one I'm just like dang it and I get up and try to catch another one again. it's not that scary I don't think XD....at all haha.

I have never seen a scorpion but I have seen one tarantula. It was hiding behind a bushes and as soon as I saw it - it ran away and I didn't have a net on me . I'd love to catch both for my museum but their spawn rate is so low @_@.

I see them both all the time, I get creeped out if it walks right in my path towards me. They're so big!
Super easy to catch though.
Even though I usually just let them walk passed me.

Yeah. Tarantula / scorpion threads have been popping up here all summer. I think there needs a stickied official tarantula / scorpion discussion thread so that all the babies here can talk about how freaked out they are by those bugs people can discuss strategies for finding and catching them without there being a hundred threads on the subject.

Update: So tonight I went hunting looking for them. What ended up happening is that I didn't see one hiding behind a bush until it was too late and got stung! It was scary. I was kinda pissed so I saved the game and turned off as soon as I re spawned!

I DID however catch a Giant Stag for the first time though and donated it plus caught two more to sell to Re-Tail in the morning so not a total loss.

Still hate those mean bugs!
