Tangy's gender????

Diana just referred to Tangy as a "he"! I swear I read it over multiple times bc I was shocked!

I wish I took a screenshot for proof but I ran out of room for photos on my DS.

I assumed Tangy was a she bc she's peppy and all the peppys are girls.

Maybe I'm wrong that all Peppys are girls. Maybe it was a typo. Maybe it Tangy is trans. What do you all think? Does anybody know about this or experienced something similar in the game? What do you think? Also has anybody had any similar suprises by learning info about the game through convos with villagers (besides the dumb basic teaching stuff)?

Yeah,that happens sometimes.A translation error or something like that.Tangy is definitely a girl.Did an uchi villager refer to Tangy as "he"?I've read somewhere that it's mostly the uchis that do that.

I?ve had that happen too in my town. This seems to be a translation error or glitch.

Tangy is a girl for sure. Her voice, and her name tag are feminine.

I've only seen it happen with peppies, but I heard it happens with uchies as well.

I've never seen this happen with any of my villagers, but I kinda breeze through dialogue sometime and don't pick up on specifics as well probably lol! I wonder if it happens moreso with other villagers

I remember having Phoebe call Diana a "he" before back when i first got the game and I was very confused too

it just seemed like a snarky response, when the person posted this innocently and I've never heard of this happening... its just negative and rude when you see people being like that at the top of a new thread.... if it was a problem the mods would step in... people have written comments like that on my threads before and I find it disheartening, so I was just sticking up for the original poster

I understand threads might be redundant or easily researched, but just ignore them... going out of the way to point something like that out just seems unnecessary

You weren't. It was just one of those rare occasions where you asked a "stupid question" bc you didn't think before you spoke or initially "listen" to the thing you were responding to.

This is a common glitch in translated games. I also know of a Harvest Moon Game for Wii that sometimes causes a character to refer to your in game daughter (if you have one) as a he. I also have Rune Factory 4 and I was always called Miss by the butler but once my character was married he started calling me Sir... It just happens with games that aren't origianlly in English.

Yes I think so too. I know Tangy is a girl....I'll just say here I literally look up the wikipedia everyday (sad). I just thought it was funny bc Tangy could be ambigious

some people around the forums will post thinking Tangy is a guy though? like on Villager plaza and stuff... I don't know why? she looks fairly girly enough to me?

I always knew she was a girl. But a lot of times in japanese things if characters aren't explicitely girly in some form they turn out to be guys. I've thought some characters were girls only to learn they were male. Case in point Tamama from Sgt Frog. I always assumed he was a girl bc his voice and the way he acted (this was when I watch subbed not dub).

So I donno...I guess I think its funny.
